The combat robot stood in the center of the Metro City Science Factory, silent and imposing.Roxy circled it, examining the sleek, unfamiliar design.
“This isn’t in any registry,” she said.
Detective Smith shook his head. “No record… and it’s completely unused. Just rolled off the factory floor.”
He looked at the robot. “If you think you can handle it… you’re cleared to ride.”
Roxy smirked. “Then let’s see what it’s capable of.”
She ignited her boosters, landed on the robot’s back, and lifted the access hatch. Moments later, she slipped into the cockpit.
The interior lit up.
“Manual control enabled.”
Roxy scanned the systems—weapon calibrations, movement protocols, mission templates.
“Brand new,” she murmured. “It’s never been deployed. Not once.”
The map interface was blank. No flight paths, no mission logs—completely untouched.
Roxy’s jaw tightened. “Looks like I’m the first to guide you.”
She entered a set of coordinates.
Far from the city.
Hidden.
Roxy locked in the location.
The robot’s engines roared, smashing through the factory ceiling and into the night sky.
Deep underground, Dr. Hacker paced his secret base.
“All systems are running perfectly…” he murmured, unaware of what was approaching.
Then—
ALERT: UNKNOWN AERIAL APPROACH
His eyes snapped to the main screen.
“What…?” he whispered.
The display showed a massive combat robot, heading straight for his hidden base.
Dr. Hacker leaned closer, disbelief written across his face.
“That robot… it’s not mine,” he said slowly. “Then… how does it know this place?”
The camera zoomed in.
Inside the cockpit—
Rocket Girl.
Hacker’s shock turned to wide-eyed astonishment. He stumbled back from the console, unable to process it immediately.
“…She followed the trail,” he muttered, voice trembling with surprise.
The robot slowed, preparing to land.
Dr. Hacker swallowed hard. His fingers hovered over the defense controls, but he froze, astonishment rooting him in place.
“She found me… without me even touching it,” he whispered, shaking his head.
