Hiking Gwan-Mu Mountain
Today, my family and I went hiking to the Gwan-Mu Mountain. It’s right beside our apartment. So we can go there when ever we like. Today, we went hiking because my mom worried that we would be unhealthy. After Corona started, we didn’t move and became lazy. After not moving and getting lazy, we became fat (except for me though) my mom started to worry. In the summer, it was too hot and mosquitos and flies were everywhere, and other bugs tried to bite us so we didn’t go hiking since summer started, but, because it’s autumn now, the weather is cool and bugs were gone. My mom thought it was a perfect day to go hiking. So off we went.
It was cool when we went outside. I expected myself to be very tired and not remember the direction, but I was wrong. Strangely I felt very energetic and my brain told me where to go. There were some steep parts but eventually we passed all of them without much trouble. After thirty three minutes of hiking, we finally reached the top of the Gwan-Mu Mountain. The air was fresh and clean, birds sang and wind cheered for me. I was happy because we were at the top, and we just have to go down. I just felt good. Anyway, we rested and
recovered our strength to go down.
When we were going down, we saw a cute, little, brown colored squirrel. I tried to take a picture, but it ran away. Then half way down the mountain, we saw pheasant stalking down the mountain right ahead of us. I raised my pace and I took some picture. I was getting close when it suddenly turned and squawked at us. I flinched then ran back to my parents. When I came back, it was gone. I think it was the first time I saw a wild animal that up close. I could have touched him if I went slowly, but I think I made a good choice not to touch it, now that I think about it. It might have pecked my hand. And I was pecked by a chicken once, and it hurt for a small chicken that only came to half of my knees.
It was a nice trip. When we got back I had a good warm shower. I think hiking made me feel good. But sadly I remembered that I didn’t do any homework today. I would have to do it all by seven P.M..
