A Really Hot Day
Today, I met Yujin, who is 10 years old. I meet her often. Today, we met at the central park. Her dad came to the park, too.
We promised to meet at 4 this afternoon. So when I went there, it was 10 minutes earlier, so I waited.
When about 10 minutes had passed, Yujin and her dad came to the meeting spot. Yujin was riding her bike and her dad wasn't. They said Yujin rode her bike, and her dad walked here. But I could easily guess that even before they said that because they were sweating!
It was very hot, so even though I was sitting, doing nothing, I was almost sweating! So, we went to the convenience store nearby to get some ice cream.
When we went inside the store, many people were there. Yujin's dad got a cool drink. But we didn't see the ice cream! Where was it? There was no way the store had no ice cream! I knew that there was ice cream because I've seen it before. Then I remembered where it was! It was outside the store. So when I went outside, it was there! So I bought some cool ice cream.
We found a bench to sit on, so we sat there and had some ice cream. My dad soon came. He said he cut his hair and came here. He bought some coffee for him and Yujin's dad. He said it was his first time trying that coffee shop's coffee, and it was good.
It was a very hot day, so we didn't dare try to step out of the shade of the tree. So we decided to go to our apartment's top floor, where there was a sky lounge for people to rest. We brought my parrot, Kiwi to come there because it needed some sunlight to stay healthy.
We were there for about 30 minutes, and we said goodbye to each other.
It was such a blazing-hot day, but I had fun. I just hope I can stay alive from the heat until next fall!
