Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, everybody! Are you having a great time this holiday? I can tell you that I am. I ate tteokguk this morning, and now, I'm writing this diary as you can see! Did you watch the count down for the new year last night? I did, although there was nothing special. And because of that, I had to stay up until midnight. I had to keep myself from falling asleep because I usually sleep late, about 11 P.M. at night, but now, I had to wait a whole hour more! Yesterday, at eleven thirty P.M., and about 10 seconds before midnight, my family turned the TV on and saw that there was this big screen with a number. It changed every second since it was the count down! It turned 4, 3, 2...
One! And it's the year 2022, not 2021! At the bottom of my computer, there's a small box-like space that shows me the date, and I can't believe that the year part says "2022." Oh! By the way, how old are you now? I think I told you before, but I'm a fourth grader in elementary school, now. And the last day that I go to my third grade classroom is next Monday. Also, I heard that a lot of my friends and classmates were going to move to another place, and wasn't going to stay at the school they went to until they were 10. And I'm really going to miss them because one of them was a friend of mine since kindergarten. But look at the brighter side! I still have 3 more friends including my best friend from kindergarten, and I may be in the same class with them. In fact, one of them was in the third grade class with me, although that friend isn't the best friend that I have just particularly told you. My best friend ended up in the farthest room apart from mine in 3 grade. But I'm going to be in the same classroom with her, or at least I would love being in the same class with her.
Are you as excited as I am about getting your yearly report? I don't know why, but I like getting and reading things like that. And it's really important because if my friends share, I get to know who's going to be in my classroom next year, or in fourth grade. The homeroom teacher will write something about me on that report, and that's another reason it's very important since I always wonder how the teacher thinks of me. I hope her comments are nice.
And speaking of school, my older brother is a middle school student now! He got his graduation album, and there were many pictures of him, his friends, and all the teachers including the principal. I saw my homeroom teacher and the science teacher. I think my science teacher looked especially nice. And I'm sure that my brother is going to be a great middle school student.
Wow! I didn't know how much I wrote since the beginning. I think it's almost going over a page! Well, thank you again for reading my long, long diary until the end, and I wish you a happy new year, and all the good luck in your higher grade or your older age. Thank you and happy new year until I write again!
