I was on a shore boat, going ashore with some of my fellow pirates. I had left my first mate Golti in charge of the Walrus. He would keep the ship nice and dirty. When I reached shore, everyone except my second mate, Jou refused to leave the boat. "Get out or I'll hang every one of you!" I thundered. Slowly, the pirates got out. They were scared of this island because they thought it was haunted. "Move, men! Gather water! Pick fruits! If there are any men who live here, take away their food!" I commanded. No pirate moved. "You heard the captain. Move!" Jou shouted. She was a very nice pirate. She feared almost nothing. At this, the pirates went into the forest, gathering friuts and water. I thought that they would be done by an hour. I waited, breathing in the sea air.
