‘Vine is s-o handsome!’ Carolina thought as she stared into Vine’s deep blue eyes. Then, she noticed Kelia standing with her mouth opened. Carolina walked over to her. “What’s the matter with you?” she asked. Kelia turned her head toward Carolina. She opened her mouth and shut it. Kelia had been Carolina’s best friend for many years. So, she knew that Kelia only did that when she was very upset or surprised. “Kelia… Kelia… Kelia!” Carolina shouted. Kelia looked startled and looked at Carolina. “Umm…Carolina?” she said, blinking her eyes. “What happened?” Carolina asked worriedly. Now, Kelia looked mad. “I asked Lelia if she needed help. And, Lelia refused.” Kelia snapped. “I told you Lelia was a bad girl.” Carolina said, with a frown. Then, Vine came up to them. “What are you talking about?” he asked. “Just about some girl stuff.” Kelia said quickly. “Oh…I thought I heard you mention Lelia.” Vine said. Instantly, Carolina’s face clouded. Kelia saw her friend being very upset. So, she said, “I told Carolina to help her with her homework. Can we be excused?” “Umm…sure.” Vine said. Carolina and Kelia walked away to Carolina’s house. “Uh! I can’t absolutely stand it! Everywhere I go, everyone just talks about Lelia!” Carolina said madly. Why in the world should Lelia disturb her love and other stuff? It was not fair. Carolina said good bye to Kelia and went inside her house. She ran up the stairs and slammed her bedroom door shut and cried. She was still crying when her mother knocked on the door. “What’s the matter darling?” she asked. Carolina didn’t answer. Her mother knocked again and said, “If you’re going to cry, cry after you had finished your homework!” Carolina scowled and got up. She went to her desk and pulled out her favorite pan out. She opened the door and there was Kevin. “Let’s go to a more private place to talk.” Kevin said. He took her to the park. Nobody was there. “So, what are you going to tell me?” Carolina asked. “Okay. I heard that you and Kelia were bulling Lelia.”
