    #1 Moving

"Hi! I heard you are making a detective stand!" Hilda looked up to see a teenage girl about her age looking down at her. It was a month after Hilda had moved into the Sunny Lake's Harber. After the case of the horror land, Hilda's parents had suddenly announced that they were moving. Hilda was stunned by this news. She knew that one day, she would move to somewhere else because of dad's job, but she didn't know that it will be so soon. It was hard to leave her hometown but it was more harder to leave her dear friends. She liked Catherine and Jenice, and she liked their detective stand. What will they react at this news? Hilda knew that the hardest part of moving were telling her friends about her moving. But Hilda made it. With some tearful good byes, she left her friends. Her mother had always said that she'll make new friends and Hilda believed her. Hilda indeed made new friends back at her hometown, Catherine and Jenice. So she might be able to make new friends here too! Though they won't be exactly like the old friends... Just then, the girl Hilda was speaking to tapped her arm. Hilda flinched. Then she looked up at the girl. "Um...what?" Hilda had daydreamed, so she had forgot that she was speaking to this girl! "Um...are you making a detective stand?" the girl asked more quietly than before. "Um...yes." Hilda stammered. She wasn't so good at speaking to strangers. "Can I join you?" the girl asked abruptly. "Ye..yes. I mean, of course you can!" Hilda said. "Meet you at 8 the next morning."

    #2 A New Case

The next day was a little bit cloudy and it had rained in the morning, a bad signal for the detective stand. People usually stay at home in this weather, so there won't be any clients with a mystery. But Hilda went to the detective stand anyway. The girl was standing there, shivering from the cold. Hilda was about to call that girl but she realized that she didn't know that girl's name! So Hilda walked over and asked, "Um... what's your name?" The girl looked up at Hilda. "I'm Lucy. I think your name is Hilda. Right?" Hilda nodded, but there was one question. How did this girl know her name? "I've heard so much about you from Christina. She said your a mystery fan, and a great detective." Hilda blushed. Christina was a girl who Hilda had met in the bully&threat case, and from Lucy's words, Hilda supposed that Christina is Lucy's friend. Then Lucy handed Hilda a friendship bracelet. "Here. This is yours. I've made it just yesterday when I heard you were coming." Hilda was going to say "Thank you!", when a girl ran over to them. "Hi, Mary! Do you want to be detectives too?" Lucy asked, waving at a girl who she called Mary. "No..no. I am not here to solve mysteries! I am here to request a mystery!"

    #3 Missing Poodle

"What? What's your mystery?" Lucy asked. "My poodle has disappeared!" Mary was in flood of tears. Hilda handed her a tissue. "Was there anything at the scene of the crime?" she asked. Mary nodded. "There was Choco's doggie necklace, a spilled pile of doggie treat, and Choco's T-shirts all smithered with mud." "A T-shirt? Does dogs wear a T-shirt?" Lucy frowned. "That sounds pretty odd." Mary shook her head and said, "No. Many people have their dogs wear a T-shirt, don't they?" Hilda shrugged. "I've never raised a dog. Maybe they do or maybe they don't." Mary's eyes began to water again. "Choco really liked his T-shirt... I miss him so much....." Lucy tapped Mary's arms. "Don't worry. We have Hilda to solve the mystery! Hilda is a great detective. She had solved every cases in her home town!" Hilda blushed. Why does Lucy have to complament her? Well... that wasn't bad but... it was kind of embarrasing. Hilda quickly said, "Well, my friends helped a lot. Anyway, Let's go to the scene of the crime!"

    #4 At Mary's

A minute later, the three kids were standing in front of Mary's hosue. The front yard of the house was pure soil, and there were rain puddles here and there. Lucy went up to the door and politely knocked. "You don't need to. There is no one in the house." Mary said and opened the door. Hilda bursted into giggles and soon, everyone was giggling. 'Maybe moving is not that bad.' Hilda thought as she entered the house. The house was very clean, except on part. The doggie house. "Do you keep the doggie house in the house?" Hilda asked. "Yes. The outside is too cold right now, and I am afriad that Choco might catch a cold." Mary looked saddly at the doggie house. "But Choco isn't here right now..." "Don't worry! We'll solve the mystery!" Lucy cried triumphantly. Hilda giggled silently. Lucy was just like Jenice, who was always so triumphant when they were solving a mystery. Lucy was crawling around, looking for more possible clues about this mystery. That reminded Hilda of the stolen wedding dress case. There, Jenice had found a clue, a man's lotion small by crawling on the floor of the wedding room. Maybe this time, Lucy can fin the clue too! Just then, Hilda heard Mary shouting at Lucy. "Oh my! What are you doing! The floor is too dirty to crawl around even if my mother always clean them!" Hilda sighed. Mary was just like Catherine, who always thought that she was Hilda and Jenice's mother, but she was more reasonable and responsible more than Hilda. Hilda sighed again. She liked Lucy, and she liked Mary, but nobody was like Catherine and Jenice....

    #5 Just a dream?

"Hilda! Hilda! Hilda!" Hilda woke up from a voice calling her. She flew opened her eyes, and there was.... Catherine and Jenice!!! "Huh? Why are you here at Sunny Lake's Harber?" Hilda asked. "Where are Mary and Lucy?" Catherine laughed. "You've fallen asleep while waiting for a mystery! Sunny Lake's Harber? There is no such place as Sunny Lake's Harber!" Hilda shook her head. "But... It wasn't a dream! See?" Hilda held out her wrist to show Catherine the bracelet, but it was gone! "What? But I have tied it extra strong on my wrist!" Hilda cried, searching her pocket. But there was nothing but a candy rapper and a receipt from the super market. Jenice shrugged. "What dream did you have anyway?" Hilda explained about her moving, meeting Lucy and Mary, going to Mary's house to solve the poodle mystery, and coming back here to the detective stand. Jenice shook her head. "I think it was just a dream." But Catherine looked interested in the poodle mystery. "Tell me more about the mystery!" she enquired. So Hilda started all over and telled Catherine about the mystery. After that, Hilda called Christina. "Hello! Christina there?" "Oh, hi Hilda! Why?" "Um... just that do you have a friend named Lucy?" "No. Why?" "No reason. Bye~" Hilda hung off the phone and sighed. Was this all a dream? But it was so realistic! "What ever." Hilda muttered and went back to her real world, leaving her dream, but maybe real world behind.

    The Hania detective's theories:

Catherine's theory: "The dog ran off by it self."

Supporting detail: "The dog's collar was loose, so he was free and went outside to play. Unfortunately, it had rained that morning so the dog got dirty. He didn't know it and went inside, before Mary came and descovered that he had gone outside. But he made a huge mess with his muddy feet and body. He had always got scolded by Mary's mother when he made the house dirty because Mary's mother couldn't stand it. The absolutly clean house proves this. Because of that, he ran off to be exempted from the scolding."

Hilda's theory: "The dog was captured."

Supporting detail: "It had rained that morning so the theif stole Mary's dog. That's because the theif knew that his foot prints will be washed away by the rain. Also, the opened door proves how the theif went inside and out. And the dog couldn't pull of it's collar by it self, so the theif had put it off and took of with the dog. Plus the doggie food was spilled all over the place, so the theif must have tripped over the doggie food and spilled the contents."

Jenice's theory: "The dog was still in the house."

Supporting detail: "There were many signs that the dog was still there. First, the dog food was spilled. It means that the dog was eating the dog food when Mary came inside. Mary had trained the dog to go to her room when he hear the door opening. So he did but there was one mistake. The dog couldn't resist him self from eating the food, so he ate it, Yum~ Second, Mary must had put off the collar. The collar had no sign of struggling, so Mary just put off the collar and hid the dog. Why did she did this? To judge how smart we-I mean Hilda is."
