Taylor dragged herself to the 4-2 room. It wasn't her classroom, actually. It was her club classroom. As Taylor got into second grade, she had to start a school club. There were lots and lots of clubs, such as reading, knitting, planting, playing board games, badminton, jump rope, and lots of other things. Taylor wished to be in the board game club, which she loved. Her teacher decided to pick a paper which had a club name in it. Unfortunately, Taylor picked a paper with 'plant club' written on it. She hated plants. Boring, boring, boring, she thought. I hate it! She was going to the plant class right now. She thought about just going home now, but she couldn't. School hadn't finished yet, and she knew her mother would be incredibly angry. She repeated dragging her feet, stop for a second, drag her feet, and stop for a second again. That way, she arrived at the classroom 4-2, just when the bell rang.

"Oh, hello, what's your name?" asked the teacher there.

"Taylor," said Taylor as she closed the door. "Taylor Parker."

"Oh, yes," said the teacher, checking something in her piece of paper. "Please come just a little earlier next time. Sit down where ever you want."

Taylor looked around the room, and saw some plants and about ten desks and chairs, filled with children. Then, a girl waved to her. It was Flora Jantence, Taylor's friend from her kindergarten. Taylor waved back, and headed to the seat next to Flora.

    "Hi, Taylor," whispered Flora.

"Hi," muttered Taylor under her breath, grumpily. "Did you-" Taylor had to stop talking to Flora, because the teacher had started talking.

"Hi, my name is Ms. White. You might have seen me somewhere. The cafeteria, in the hall, at the library, the toilet..... Anywhere. Anyway, I'm going to teach you about plants, and you will each get a plant." Ms. White pointed at the plants which lay there. "I'll give the plants to you today. Let's see. Sorry, there is only one ivy..... Five fresh porridges, and six water hyacinth. You'll take these plants home, and bring it to school on school club days. Understand?"

     Everyone shouted, "Yes!"

"Okay, then," said Ms. White, "So, let's pick papers for the plants."

All the kids lined up in the front of the class. Taylor picked, wishing she would pick ivy... She opened her folded paper. Please, please......, she thought, and found out that she had picked fresh porridges. Great! Everything is being ruined today!

Just then, Taylor heard a delightful squeal from her friend, Flora. "What is it, Flora?" she asked. Flora was jumping up and down. "I got the ivy!" said Flora. "I love Ivies! As you know, my kitten's name is Ivy, too."

Taylor forced a smile for Flora. "Great! You're so lucky."

"Yeah," said a boy Taylor didn't recognize, glaring at the ivy. "I wish I could get that."

"Me too." said a girl. "Flora, want to, er, change with my fresh porridge?"

"No, no." said another boy. "Flora, change with my water hyacinth."

Then other kids huddled around Flora and talked about changing and giving.

     Flora shook her head, no.

"Okay, kids, calm down," said Ms. White, "Now, get your plants to your desk."

Everyone did as they were told.

"Ewww!" shouted a girl, "I got dirts on my hands!"

"Yeah!" agreed a boy, "I got dirt-water on my hands. And on the floor too."

Taylor looked at her hands. Wet. Dirt water.

"Okay, let's go to the bathroom and wash our hands," said Ms. White.

All the people, even Ms. White went to the bathroom. The bathroom was crowded, because there was only one faucet in the bathroom. Taylor was walking back to the classroom when she heard a gasp from Flora inside the classroom.

"Oh no!" she yelled. "My...... My...... My Ivy! It's ruined!"

Ms. White dashed into the classroom. "Huh? Oh no! Who did this?"

Soon other kids huddled around Flora again, and Taylor was in the crowd. Surely, Flora's ivy lay on the floor, with dirt all around it.

"I'm sure someone did it on purpose," said Ms. White. "It can't be an accident, because Flora was sitting in the middle of the room, and the middle of Taylor and a desk. Why would some of you go that way?"

The kids nodded, and Taylor did too.

Flora was crying now. "My..... My ivy! My ivy..... Who did this? I'm not letting the person just get over

Ms. White nodded. "Yes. So, who did this? Whoever it was, you better come out right now." There was a silence. No one raised their hand.

"Okay, then. Then we should find out someway........" said Ms. White.

Just then, Taylor had a strong thought that no one could solve this except..... The Hania detectives. Taylor raised her hands.

"Er, Ms. White, I didn't do it, but I know a person-I mean people who can solve this. One of them is in the next room right now..... may I bring her here now?"

Ms. White thought for a moment, and said hesitating a little, "But.. Okay, if you're sure of it."

Taylor walked out of the room, and went to the 4-4 room, and found Jenice there. "Jenice, there is a big mystery the Hania detectives shoud solve! ASAP!" said Taylor, as she asked the teacher their for permission to take Jenice. The teacher agreed, and Jenice brought the other members the the 4-2 room.

Jenice looked around, and smiled. "This thing is simple! I know the criminal!"
