[January 1st, 2018]
January 1st is probably everyone's favorite day (I mean after their birthday, Christmas, and summer&winter vacation) but it isn't with me. I just hate Jauary 1st because it's my birthday. You don't get it? Well, I'll explain.
Today, I woke up super-excited because I just knew inside my gut that I'll get my new iPhone today. I've been waiting years to get it, but my parents just turned me down saying, "We'll get you one once you attend high school." So I had to live without my iPhone for 3 WHOLE YEARS!!!! It was so embarrasing and it gave a big impact on my social life. I was the only girl who didn't had a phone!
Anyway, I once tried to earn my phone when I was in 2nd grade, middle school. My whole savings until this was 32.91 dollars. I figured that I can't go well with it, but I managed to get a phone with 21.53 dollars, with lots of internet bargaining. Then, I began to spread some facinating gossips about my new phone. That day, some CPG, or Celebrated Pack of Girls walked to me and asked about my facinating phone. Then they talked about my new gossips about my facinating phone. I wanted to yell, "It's my facinating gossips about my new phone, not new gossips about my facinating phone!" But I figured things won't get well with it. So I stayed quiet all along. The CPGs asked me to eat with them and I said yes. Everything seemed to go on well until my new phone rang. I tried to ignore it, but it rang on, and on, and on until everyone, from the tinest fly to the teachers were all staring at me.
"Well, aren't you going to get it?" One of the CPGs asked. I quickly snatched my phone up and was like, "Um... wrong number." When I turned around, the CPGs were gone, screaming down the hallway, crying, "Get away from me! Help!" And I decided that it meant they didn't want to eat with me at lunch.
I tried to save my allowance, but my parents are kind of picky about my allowance and they didn't give enough of it! Also, I'm really addicted to writing and drawing that I just spend all my tiny allowance on paper, paint brush, pen, ereaser, and other stuff. Then the left overs barely make 2.43 dollars!
So I was really excited when mom handed me a small box. I ripped the covers open and looked inside the box. There was....dad's labtop! I stared at mom in shock. "Is this for me?" I finally said. Mom shook her head as she pilled an apple. "Er, than why is this inside my birthday box?" I asked. "Open the labtop and you'll find out." Mom said, biting into that apple. I opened the labtop excitedly because the internet said that the iPhone was just the 1/4 about dad's labtop. But I almost screamed when I found a 4.4 dollars book coupon staring back at me on top of the key-board. I was like "Are you kidding me? Your saying my birthday present is this 4.4 dollars book coupon?! But I'm now in high school! High school mom! You can't give me a 4.4 dollars book coupon to a high school girl who is gonna start her social life soon! You can't mess with her, I mean my social life ripped and teared!" But I decided not to say that. At least now. I calmed myself and pulled the book coupon from the key board then held it up.
"Is this my birthday present?" I said with some hope that mom will say no. But she nodded, which I had to calm myself from killing my mom. I wanted to yell, "But you promised me that when I go to high school, you'll buy me a phone!" But I only said that inside my head. I ran upstairs to my room. Nobody could buy a normal book with 4 dollars! All I could buy is 20 pencils or a notebook! I rather quickly decided on a notebook and ran to the stationery store and bought a notebook, which is I'm using as a diary.
Well, now you understand why I'm frustrated. I just wish mom had gave me a diary instead of a 4.4 dollars book coupon. How could any parents give their high school child a 4.4 dollars book coupon?! Urgh. And the most frustrating thing is that Miley just spelled my name 'Mellona' instead of 'Marlena'!!! I suppose Miley won't be pleased if I spell her name 'Mile'!!
Anyway, I won't speak to mom or dad or Miley until they give me a proper present than this!!!
