"Wait a minute. Before I solve your case, please tell us what exactly happened." Scarlet said. It was almost past noon and the boy was explaining the case he brought to the detective. "Well," the boy said in a more calm voice. "the case started when I found this," The boy held out a golden piece of what seemed like a golden heart. "What is it?" the three girls asked at once. "I don't know."
"Is this yours?" Scarlet asked like a formal detective. "No. I found this next to my window. I didn't put it there." "Could've your family put it there?" Angellina asked. "No. Not except my family, but they said they didn't put it there." the boy answered. "Then could've someone else put it there?" Caroline asked. The boy shook his head. "No. My room is located on the 2nd floor. Someone could've climbed our house to put it there, but who would do something like that?" the boy asked, confused.
"Enough with the questions. Let's go back to your story," Scarlet said, looking at the boy. "Oh, right. Well, finding this next my window isn't a really big matter, but after I found this, strange things began to appear at my window every night. There was a silver scrap of sparkling paper, a piece of glitter puzzle, and a glow-in-the-dark watch hand, which I found today." the boy sighed. "I stayed up late to find out who's putting this things next to my window, but the person never appeared."
"So you want me to figure out who did this?" Scarlet asked, cocking her head to one side, "Well, this isn't a serious matter or something. The person didn't stole anything from you, right?" "Yeah, but it's uneasy whenever I find or think about these things." the boy said, looking around. Then he lowered his voice. "It's as if somebody's watching me every day and night."
There was a burst of laughter as Dorothy fell to the floor. "Are you all right?" Angellina cried as she ran to her sister's side. Dorothy's body was trumbling so much that Angellina feared her sister was badly hurt or crying. But when Dorothy stood up again, her mouth was trumbling and she roared with laughter. "Do you really believe that? That's crazy!" Dorothy manage to say the words between her giggles. "Somebody's watching you day and night? You're right. Do you really suppose we'll believe that crazy story?"
The boy stood up, his face twisted of shame and embarrasment. "Do you think you are the only detective in town?" he said as he reached for the door. "If you don't want to take it, I can ask somebody else!" "But I do believe you." Scarlet said in a low voice. The boy stopped. Scarlet's face showed that she was serious. Her eyes were closed, her mouth was shut, and her hands rested on her chin as Scarlet spoke.
Then Scarlet opened her eyes and jumped up. "Well, thank you for your information. I'm on the case. Before I start investigating, do you have anyone in mind?" The boy thought for a moment. "Just Charlie Baker and Senathan Orin." "Thanks! Let's go you three," Scarlet said as she pulled the three girls out the door. "And thank you, Justin Robinson for bringing me a very interesting case!" she shouted as she ran down the sidewalk, leaving the mouth-dangling Justin Robinson and his question, "How did you...?" behind.
