"Got any cases?" Erin called as she walked toward the detective stand.
Delia shook her head. "Nope. No cases yet. Except if your interested in solving the mystery of the valentine card. Well, I won't really call it a mystery though. The boy who lives four blocks down from here has some girl he likes. And he wants us to help him make his valentine card. So it's not actually a case. Still, are you interested?"
Erin made a sickening face as she casually said, "Nope. Not interested, no thanks."
Hazel looked up from her notebook. "Well, we have two case okay. If you include that valentine card thing." she said in a hesitant voice.
Delia frowned. "Oh, that request from Jason? Forget it. He's the nasty fellow who's job is stealing earings!" she fumed.
The detectives had solve the case of 'New Year's Day's No Yen or Dollars Case' so called by Hazel. There, they solved the mystery of the missing money, and apparently, Jason had played a prank on Ava, stealing her earing and hiding it in grandma's purse. Which made Ava the top suspect of the crime.
Hazel rolled her eyes. "Don't you think it's better to stop being mad at Jason? Anyway, he did apologize." she said sarcastically.
"I'm not ready to forgive that nasty boy. But let's hear that case anyway." Delia said.
Hazel sighed as she flipped through her notebook. Then she read out in a high-pitched voice, "Case#34. Situation: Jason's crush meeting. Suspects: None. Theory: None."
Erin raised her eye-brows. "Jason's crush?"
Delia rolled her eyes. "Apparently, that boy has some girl he likes. He says he really likes her, but he doesn't have the courage to confess his feelings."
Erin let out a light gasp. "He likes a girl? But who is that? And what does he want us to solve anyway?"
Hazel snorted. "He says he wants us to make an official spot for him to confess his, well, feelings to the girl he likes." she said.
Erin grunted. "So what does he thinks us of? A valentine professional or something? We're detectives! Why in the world does he want us to help him confess his love?" she said in mock disbelief.
Before Hazel could respond, a girl came running toward them. Delia squinted to make out who it was.
"Is that the note-book-girl?" Delia asked.
Hazel and Erin turned their heads just in time to see Catherine running toward them with flushed cheeks.
"Oh. Hi Cathy!" Erin said cheerfully as Catherine reached them.
"Do you guys have some time?" Catherine asked in a frantic voice, not answering Erin's greeting. "Because I have a serious case for you!"
