 Horror and Mischief. Chapter 1: The blood- red paint

 Emily Shenpered was a ordinary girl who had the big dreams to be an artist. "Are you excited?" Her twin, Annie Shenpered asked. Emily nodded. "I like art. I want to be an artist when I grow up. Annie, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Annie thought for a minute. "I want to be a chef. I like to see people like the food I made." Still chatting, the girls went inside.

Mrs. Plining, the girl`s art instructor, was getting ready for the people who arrived next to take a lesson. "We`re here, Mrs. Plining." Emily said. "Good! You`re just in time for then next lesson. Please go to the next table. Mr. Plining is getting ready for your lesson." Mrs. Plining was a tall and kind woman, with glasses and her nose flat. When they got to the next table, they saw Mr. Plining. Mr. Plining was a fat, jolly man, just like Santa claus. "Hey, girls." He grinned. "Ready for the lesson?"

"Ready!" The girls laughed. The girls had to use paint today. Annie got the supplises they needed. "Thank you!" Emily smiled.

It was a long way to the sink, where the pallette, paint and paintbrushes were. It took almost 45 meters, which was a long way despite for a classroom. "Uh-oh." The kid next to her had sprayed Emily some paint on her finger. It was blue paint. The water bottle had clear water, so she just washed her hand. Then, suddenly, the paint turned red. Blood streamed out of her finger!

"Oh my!" She didn`t want to disturb anybody, so she quietly showed her finger to Annie and told her what had happened.

Annie looked confused. "It`s not blood, dummy; It`s paint, but blue paint was sprayed. But anyway, it hurts." Emily winced. Blood was pouring out from her finger. "How........How could this be?" She whispered frantically. "I think, you should go to the teacher." Emily nodded and looked at the paint. It was blue again. "That`s odd." She looked suspicious. 'It`s a trick; a big trick!' She realized. Holding her finger, she went to Mrs. Plining. "Oh, dear, Let me clean that for you." She grabbed some bandages. "Hmm..." She decided for later, she would do some detective work with Annie. She wanted to find out who hurt her finger. As soon as Mrs. Plining was finished, Emily marched over to Annie. "Annie," She said, looking Secretive.

"I want you to do some detective work with me."

"So.." Emily hesitated before blurting out her question. "Are you going to do detective work with me?" She pleaded.

"Oh, Okay." Annie said. "But we`re just kids-" Emily let out a short sigh. "Look, don`t say we`re kids. Kids and Adults. What`s the conclusion? What`s the diffrence?" Nobody spoke for a moment. Then, Emily spoke again. "Please, have some courage. This can be scary, like horror, because blood and hurts are involved," She looked at her finger and then sighed. Then, she spoke again. "But, We can do it. The Shenpered Family won`t like to see us doing this. We`re the Shenpered girls. We can do it, Ok?" Annie nodded and then stood up. "You`re right, Emily." She then laughed. "So, do we have our brains?" Annie joked. Emily laughed. "Okay. Let`s start!" The girls did a high-five.
