 Elena was wandering along the beach. Her family had moved to Miami the last week. Now, they were preparing to launch in thier new house, when Elena and her sister had nothing to do. Elena ran to the beach and splashed inside the cool, beach water. Well, that was one good thing. Miami was very hot in the summer, and she had the cool beach to play with her. She wore simple clothes, for splashing in the water. And then she brought her snorkelling gear and dived inside the water. Going back and forth to the sea from the shore, she was soon out far. When she returned again, some boys were staring at her. Elena quickly dived inside again. She went out far. A banana boat was swimming beside her. She went faster. The banana boat turned back and went back. She did too. She repeated it several times. Then, she went to a nearby shop and ate a coconut pudding. Soon, she was very tired and she was soaked to the skin. That was before she met her sister. Ella came running with a strange looking man and mom. The man had a snorkelling gear on his face and a swimming suit. "He is Mr. Soman, and he will be your swimming teacher from now on. The lessons will be at the beach. OK?" Elena hated someone telling her what to do. Elena did love swimming, but mom telling her what to do made her favor of swimming go down. Besides, Mr. Soman didn`t look very nice. What was she supposed to do with him? "Hi." Mr. Soman said gruffly. "Um, hello." She responded, but inside, she thought "Why do I have to do things I don`t want to?" She felt annoyed at mom. She wanted to skip a day. She`d have to make a response. But first, Elena decided to talk to mom first. Momalmost always understood her. Elena went into mom`s room. After they talked, Elena came out, her face completely diffrent. Well, today was not. She was forced to lessons, starting from tomorrow, every day a week, except weekends though, three hours a day. "Horrible. Strange. I don`t want to be lessoned from a strange, old man whom I cannot possibly trust!" After minutes, she thought of an excuse. At the next morning, she called her friends, Riley and Stephannie. "Can you play today? If you can, meet me at the beach, our secret water park." The 'secret water park' was between the rocky area.

There was a big pool, etched about half a mile by rocks, filled with cool water at the summer, hot water at the winter. She was allowed to play there anytime, and first, mom nor Mr. Soman had told her where the lessons began. Second, they hadn`t told her if she could play in the water at lesson time. Still, she loved her mom-except for the point always telling her what to do. Elena was good at speaking, and you could expect how much mom was good at 'exploding' to her child that even Elena couldn`t defeat her. Riley said that she could play. So did Stephannie. All three girls thought the secret water park was great. There was a natrual slide made by rocks, a diving rock, and a secret place underwater where they could hide when emergencies, and lots more. And today, it was the perfect day to do so. After two hours, the girls met at the beach, and they raced to the waterpark. All three were very excited-especially Elena. "I can`t wait!" The girls had very much fun. Stephannie enjoyed the slide. Riley enjoyed diving. And Elena kept going to the hiding spot. It was where the smallest tree branch`s shadow of an oak tree was. The small branch could be easilly noticed,the waters were very shallow, and there was air inside(Stephannie provided air, digging with a shovel, the end of the hole in one end, a big one, in dry ground), they could stay there for hours. If thier lips were blue, they could go under the tunnel and rest. It was a perfect place for playing in the water. And she wanted to escape. Forever, if possible.
