    #4 Fireworks

Instantly, Dylan reached for Elinor's right hand, and held it tight. The world span, and within a second, she found herself standing on a stone floor. It was a huge stadium, she realized, though there were only few people around, wandering here and there. The night sky shone with stars, and she noticed so much of time's passed during the teleportation. Then she reminded herself again, that there were so many things to learn; a lot more to adjust in this place - where ever Dylan had brought her to.

"Hello dear, a new hunter, I bet?" A woman's voice spoke, "welcome to world peace central. I'm Nataly, one of the co-leader of the place." The woman looked no older than thirty. She'd the natural wavy blond hair lose all over her shoulders till her chest. The way she spoke was calm and respectful, and you know the first moment you see her she's a leader. She wasn't firm looking, just kind and peaceful. But who knows if she could transform into a strict and powerful person?

"Elinor," Elinor replied, and asked, "Dylan told me that you'd help me contact my parents-"

"Yes, we are going to help you through that, but that's once when they're permitted permission and when told trustworthy to stay among us. It's one of the new better rules our rebels have made; while the governments' rules doesn't allow any connection with the non-hunters. Not even families. Infect, we are planning to take in a few non-hunters volunteers who wants the world peace."

"We are?" Dylan blathered beside me. He must have not known this.

"Yes, we are. Uniting a humanity - that's the only way to keep the world at ease."

"But even after the terrible wars our ancestors caused? Even after so many tries, after the uncountable innocent deaths you are trying to unite the humanities into one? They've failed. They weren't so different from us either!"

"But you missed the main point." Nataly said, "We are working together. Remember our ancestors tried to take control of all things. They didn't try to cooperate. Or maybe they did, but they forced people around for the act. Forcing never works, and it never will." She waited for a moment to let that sink in. "We can't stay neutral trying to extend the war from occurring. The peace won't last forever that way. I am not even sure if it's supposed to be called peace, after all." She stopped at seeing Elinor's troubled face, not able to understand any of these. "Forget your concerns for now, will you?" She grinned, "You look like you're on fire."

Nataly called few teens and told them something Elinor didn't understand. But they nodded and gave smiles towards her, as if telling her to be ready - for something she didn't know. "Fireworks for our newbie, folks!" She heard one of them shouting.

"It's our tradition," Dylan said, looking excited, "Fireworks for new hunters."

People gathered around as the boys and girls shoot the sparks of dazzling glitters into the sky, like freeing the captured stars back to their home; the night sky. The toddlers cheered and yelled as the fireworks erupted, others around waved and smiled at Elinor. It was something she didn't expect in her life; it felt as if she was finally being filled with warmth. As she pressed her hand onto her chest, she felt Dylan's hand clutching her other hand, and wiggle through her fingers. They both stared up at the sky, all worries and concerns gone for the moment, just surrounded by warm feelings, which Elinor guessed the most of it was hopefulness.

    Epilogue

They may have not noticed it then. There were so much more to experience, so much to go through. It was only a beginning, though in the end, their journey must've been the most precious thing in their life. I do not know what they've become now, but I still remember them as two normal young boy and a girl, knocking on my door covered with blood and sweat. I'd nursed the girl when I was still in my teens, and watched them teleport to their own base.

Their story was one of the most common stories among the hunters, but in the same time, it was the most powerful one.
