At suppertime, It was half past six, and so I went into the woods for firewood.

When I returned half an hour later, munching on an apple I have taken for a snack, the men were cooking pork in a stone stove.

I threw some firewood into the fire and sat down in a canvas chair.

After the incident with Blue Eye, I acted weird during suppertime.

I nibbled on my pork, then once in a while looked at the sunset and sighed quietly.

The captain, who was watching me, somehow decided that it was time to face the purpose of my weird actions during supper.

"Liam." He said stiffly.

"What on earth is the matter?"

I managed to sneak a look at Blue Eye before answering.

Luckily, he was chatting with the other pirates, so he didn`t notice my private conversation with the captain.

I took a deep breath, then told him the whole thing that happened while he was gone.

"Very well." He said when I finished.

"Does anybody else know about this?"

"Only Mr. Bones, sir."

"Very well. But stop your weird actions during supper now. You`re making me nervous."

Then he marched over to Mr. Bones as witness.

I hope the captain trusted him because what I told Mr. Bones was true.

My heart was still thumping when I washed my face and brushed my teeth with salt.

When I climbed into my cabin, I was still shaking.

But somehow, I managed to sleep aboard.

However, during the past few days, I had the same dream; a nightmare, to be exact.

The dream showed the same things.

The captain betrayed me, and told Blue Eye what I told him.

Blue Eye chased me with a pistol until I tripped.

According to the sailors, I would wake up with my face stony pale.

One day, the captain called me to his study.

"If you keep surprising your fellow sailors by waking up at the night, you`ll be fired if you keep doing things like this."

He said with one hand cradling his chin.

"But-" I tried to speak, but I stopped myself.

I was good as dead when I told him that he was the one who had betrayed me in my nightmares.

Although the captain was noble-looking and supportive, he was stern, which caused a lot of mishap among the crew.

Luckily, the captain wouldn`t let me speak and continued.

"The sailors complain every night to me that you sometimes wake up screaming. Then, they are angry if they finds out that there is no problem actually."

He pointed a finger at me.

Sweat dripped down my face.
"Yes, sir." I replied.

He waved a hand at me, and I ran out of his study.

I couldn`t get fired!

Panic dripped down my face.

One day, I finally decided that half a day alone in the woods would do me good.

I took some jerky, a bullet and my pistol, gunpowder, and my water bottle.

Also, I concluded that I would explore some part of the island myself.

"Liam! Liam!" Mr. Bones yelled behind me, but I pretended I didn`t hear him.

I ran off into the woods.

And then after about two hundred yards, I noticed a wooden cabin!

It was just enough for a dozen people to come in.

"I wonder if somebody lives here."

I tapped my chin as I wandered around the house.

Filled with curiosity, I knocked and opened the door.

What I saw would be branded in my heart forever.
