 "There was more than just worry in Ms. R's eyes." 

This thought made Skylar think. Who was Ms. R? She was friends with Fabian since preschool, and still she didn't know who she really was. 

Fabian never made an attempt to talk about her, and she never asked. From Skylar's point of view, Fabian was her best friend. A friend who needed her. In preschool, Fabian was teased all the time because of the absence of his parents. Skylar always stood up for him. That's how she and Fabian became friends. And yet they were so different. Fabian preferred to sit around in the shade and paint, and Skylar always had been the sporty one. She mastered football when she was 12, won the gold medal for boxing, and had a black belt in Taekwondo. 

But you can never predict friendship. 

 When he woke up, he didn't remember where he was. He was all tied up in ropes in a clear white bed with pillows suffocating him.

Then he saw the smirking face of Dr. K, his psychiatrist.

"Why are you doing this?" Fabian said with trembling fingers. "Did Ms. R told you to?"

Dr. K snorted but didn't answer. A minute later he turned his back toward him and stood up. "You lived with her almost 10 years and you still don't believe her." It was more like a whisper to himself. "Do you really think your parents are alive?" At this he turned and faced Fabian. 

"What do you know about them? I'm sure I've never said such thing." 

"Indeed you didn't." Dr. K suddenly sounded pleased, with a mysterious twinkle in his eyes. "Well, neither of those matter to me now."

"What do you mean?" 

Dr. K pushed a button from his desk and Fabian went flying upward. He screamed and was almost thrown out of bed. 

Where he landed, was a prison full of teenagers. 

 Skylar was frantically collecting every evidence she could find in Fabian's house. 

"He's been kidnapped!" She kept yelling. "And nobody knows who's got him."

Skylar was practically his only friend, and none of the teachers noticed him missing. She hated the thought that she had to handle all this herself. Alone and helpless

She couldn't tell her parents, although she was sure they'd love to help. Except they might want to call a PI(Personal Investigator), and that'll make things much more complicated than it is now. One thing she first realized in her first visit to Fabian's house, is that it was so well-cleaned. Too neat unlike most of her friends' houses. Not a single poster or picture came in sight. She thought Ms. R was a neat freak, but that didn't explain why there weren't a single picture of him or his parents. Than it hit her. Now she knew why.

Hi, good to see you guys. Sorry for not answering your letters for almost two months. I took a short break.

I all read your letters, Lia, Sery, and Julia. But I don't think I'm able to answer them as usual.
