Hello, members of the debate club? Let's begin our official debate today!
Let me explain a bit. On Monday or Tuesday, I am going to upload my opinions about why the death penalty shouldn't be abolished(short speech) on this website(LFEW). And then, Perda will upload her short speech and present her opinions since she's the 'agree' side. Also, she'll write in her writing about how she disagrees with MY opinion and why my argument does not make sense. Next will be Lena, who's gonna do basically the same thing with Perda. The final turn is Crazy Writer. What she'll do is the same. (This means the writing turn's Me-> Perda-> Lena-> Crazy Writer)
When you're writing your short speech about your argument for the death penalty, there're some things you should consider. First, you should never take the other team's rebuttals personally, since this is just for debate. No one should be hurt or angered because of this. Furthermore, this means that you should never write the rebuttals in a way that is personal abuse or that can make others' feelings hurt. Next, your short speech shouldn't be too short. It must be at least 20 sentences. Plus, if you can't participate in this debate because you're busy or you're on a short break(jamsu) or something, you should tell me earlier. This way, the club can work well.
When everyone finishes writing their speeches and arguments on LFEW, and when the debate's finished, we'll make a vote on which team were better debaters- the voters will be other users of LFEW. This means that the people in the debate club aren't allowed to vote, because obviously, they'll vote for their side. We'll choose the winner, and then move onto our next debate with a new topic.
