Summer was almost over and Chris had been spending most of her time with Charlotte, her new best friend. In fact, today she was supposed to meet with Charlotte at the mall to buy school clothes.
"Hi Charlotte!" Chris greeted her at the mall.
"Hi Chris!" Charlotte giggled. "I hope we can get new clean clothes for 5th grade!"
They entered the mall and bought matching dresses. After shopping, Chris invited Charlotte to her house.
"I'm home everyone!" Chris exclaimed as she walked into her house.
"I invited Charlotte home!" 
"WHAT?" Mari shouted from her room.
"Please excuse me Charlotte. Me and my twin sister should have a little talk." Chris said.
Chris stomped off to her sister's room. She burst open Mari's door.
"MARISSA MAXWELL! WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU SCREAM AT CHARLOTTE!" Chris shouted.
"IT WAS SO RUDE!" She added.
"Whoa slow down Chris. It was your fault that you invited Miss-Know-It-All Charlotte to our home with out asking me!  I don't really like her that much." Mari said.
"Now listen to me Marissa." Chris fumed.
"You better not make any trouble with Charlotte or you are going to be sorry!"
Chris ran down the stairs to the living room.
"Sorry if I took so long." Chris said to Charlotte.
"It's all right." Charlotte replied.
"Anyways, let's get started with reading our books." Chris said.
They went upstairs to Chris's room and started to read their books.
At that time, Mari was listening to everything the girls said because her room was right next to Chris's room.

'I'm so bored.' she thought.
She decided to spy on them. She tiptoed to Chris's room and put her ear to Chris's door.
"Do you know that my twin sister tried to cheat in a science test once?" Chris was saying.
"Wow. That's so horrible." Charlotte replied.
"I know. She used to sit right next to me and she tried to copy my paper!" Chris exclaimed.
Mari was fuming.
'How DARE she tells Charlotte about the incident!' she thought.
'I am going to get her BACK!'
It was finally the first day of 5th grade, and Charlotte, Chris, and Mari were in the same class. They decided to walk to school together.
"How lucky that we are in the same class this year Charlotte! Right Mari?" Chris asked, happily. 
"Oh, yeah sure." Mari mumbled. But, her head, she was thinking 'How unlucky to be with them!'
When they arrived at their class, they had to find their name tags to find their seats. The three girls were sitting in a row.
'Rotten luck.' Chris thought.
"Okay class." The teacher announced. 

"My name is Mrs. Blackwell. Welcome to my class."
The students clapped.
"I don't want to ruin the first day,but everyone is going to take a simple test of what you learned last year." Mrs. Blackwell explained.
There were a lot of groans and moans, but there were two pairs of excited, twinkling eyes, and those eyes belonged to Charlotte and Chris.
Mrs. Blackwell handed out test papers, and as usual, Chris and Charlotte were solving problems as fast as lightning bolts.
"Mrs. Blackwell? May I go to the restroom?" Chris asked when she finished her test.
"Yes you may." Mrs. Blackwell said.
'Now is my chance to get Chris back!' Mari thought.
She answered all the questions wrong on purpose, and on the name corner, she wrote Chrissa Maxwell in neat letters. Then, when she thought nobody was looking, she switched her paper with the paper on Chris's desk, erased her name and wrote Marissa Maxwell.
'Nobody will know that I took Chris's paper and changed the name.' she thought.
Or, she thought so. She didn't know that two pairs of eyes were watching her actions.
'I would love to see Chris's face when she found out she got a F!' She thought.
Charlotte saw Mari change her paper with Chris's. However, she didn't want the twins to fight. She hated to fight with her own sister. So, she decided to keep it a secret.
"Okay class. I am going to collect all the test papers." Mrs. Blackwell announced.
After eating their lunches, Mrs. Blackwell handed their tests back. As Mari expected, Chris turned white as she saw her paper.
"Chris, very disappointed. I will have to call your mother about this." Mrs. Blackwell said to Chris. Tears streamed down Chris's cheeks.
"Mrs. Blackwell, I would like to tell you something." Charlotte said.
"That paper isn't Chris's. It is her twin sister Mari's."
