#1 Fossil mission

'Ding dong-ding dong'

The bell rang at Mason's house. 

"What?" Mason snapped. The person who rang the bell was Tara. She was a sixth grade student. Mason was a fifth grade student. They were supposed to meet at Matt’s house with Zahn. Matt was in forth grade and Zahn was in fifth grade. They were interested in fossil. They really wanted to find fossil.

“It’s ten am. How can you be so lazy?” Tara snapped back. She grabbed his arms and yanked him out of his house.

“Hey! I am not even dressed yet!” Mason yelled. Tara looked at him. He was still in his pajamas.

“Fine. Get dressed into old jumpers and come to Matt’s house right away. You can’t be so lazy even it’s vacation. You’ll spend the whole month searching fossil.” Tara snapped and walked away. Mason quickly got dressed into old jumpers and raced out of his house. When he reached Matt’s house, Tara snapped again.

“Hey! Did you bring your tools?”

“Oops...” Mason mumbled.

“I have another one. Matt said and handed a shovel to him.

“Are you sure there will be fossil here?” Mason asked.

“I hope so. There is a lot of fossils descovered in our city.” Zahn said.

“Maybe there will be some in our village too.”

They kept digging, but they found no sign of a fossil. So did the other day, and the other day, and even for a week. There wasn’t any fossil at Matt’s yard.

“Argh! Why isn’t any FOSSIL in our neighborhood!” Tara yelled to the top of her lungs.

“Let’s try. We dug at least one killometer!” Zahn tried to cheer Tara up.

Matt nodded. Tara had a bad temper.

“Where’s that lazy boy? Is he still sleeping?” Tara shouted again.

“I called and he said he’ll come soon.” Matt said.

“I’m here!” Mason ran toward them.” Tara got used to Mason being late so she just ignored him. She nodded. It ment, ‘Let’s start searching’.

They dug for four hours. But still, no fossils.

“Let’s just give up. No fossil.” Tara cried. They had never saw her looking so upset.

“Wait, what’s this?” Zahn said.

“What? Fossil?” Tara asked. Zahn shook her head.

“It’s a.............”
