"Okay, there you go," Declan said when he finished tying a rope around Emery's waist. "Did it tightened enough? It isn't too tight, is it?"

"Nope, all good," Emery said, checking her rope.

"You remember what to do when you get there, right?" Declan asked.

"Yep, I'll tie it about 3 or 4 times. Don't worry." Emery said.

Declan nodded, and he didn't noticed Emery was looking at him with curious eyes.

"Wait a sec, are you worried about me?" Emery said, with curiosity in her tone.

"What? Uh, I doubt it." Declan said.

Emery smiled playfully. "It feels good to hear it."

Declan chuckled. Well, he did kind of worried about Emery. He knew she'll be fine, because they went back and forth a lot of times last year. But still, it had been months since they last went there, and if it's not tightened enough as they thought so, well, better not to think about it. That pit was deep.

"I'm gonna go now," Emery called out to Hayden and Venice.

"So, what is your plan exactly?" Venice asked.

"When I reach there, I'll tighten the rope, like 3 or 4 times. It's gonna be safe by then. And if I don't, you guys can just learn a lesson by me, and go back. Okay?" Emery said, as she tie her waist rope to the bridge rope.

"You are joking, right?" Hayden asked.

"Kind of," Emery said.

"She'll be fine," Declan said. "She had done this tons of times." And he hoped his words were right.

"Okay, so see you at the other side." Emery said, and she clutched the bridge rope. And then she jumped off from where she had been, and dangled above the pit, still clutching the rope.

"Wait, is she fine?" Hayden asked, his eyes wide open.

"You want me to do that?!" Venice cried out, with her jaw dropped.

Declan watched her without answering the others questions. It seemed the rope was shakier than usual.

Emery moved her one arm closer to the other side of the cliff shaped place, where she had to go. And then moved the other arm as the same. Slowly, and steadily, she managed to came almost to the end.

"Be careful, Emery!" Declan shouted. The last step was always the hardest.

Emery heard him, and give him a quick thumb up sign. And then she slowly placed her right foot at the other side of the ground, and she clutched the knots with her one hand that were there. It felt little bit loose in her hand. And with biting her lower lip to get her all strength, she pushed herself on to the ground, clutching tightly around the knots.

After some breathing in and out, she gave the others thumbs up signs. Declan gave her in return. Emery untied the rope around her waist, and tighten the rope that everyone was worrying about. It sure was loosen. It could have been dangerous if they had just used it  without tighten more. After tying it about 4 times, Emery checked the rope one last time, and shouted, "Done!"
