Under The Stairs#2

At Class

  As the class started, and when Professor Steven was briefly explaining the topic, Laura could hear some giggling at the back. She wondered why they were giggling, but she couldn't ask them since it was class time, and it was student's duty to concentrate on the class. She just ignored the sounds and looked at Professor Steven, who was still writing things on the board.

  When the class was almost half-passed, Professor Steven suddenly stomped his foot and shouted, "Olive, Kaylee, Lucas and Daniel! Stop talking and listen on the class! I heard you guys laughing and saw passing some notes, huh? What are you doing on my class time? It's very rude to me. I tried to ignore those sounds, but I can't! You guys are just ruining my class, and are disturbing other students to listen. I can't bear that,".

  Olive, Kaylee, Lucas and Daniel stopped talking, and looked at Professor Steven with surprised face. They instantly looked at him, with nervous faces. Professor Steven stomped toward them, and looked at four of them.

  "I will not say or do anything for penalty just this time! Like I said, don't give any harm to the others just because of you. I cannot forgive that, that's not what students need to do. Okay?" He said, pointing at each of them.

  "Yes, Professor. We're sorry," Lucas quickly apologized to him, and the others apologized, too.

  After that class, Laura went to Olive's seat to ask what made them laugh at the class.

  "Olive, what did you guys do? You know that's disobeying one of his rules, 'Respect: Listen to the Professor while he is talking and respect the others'," Laura said.

  "I know, I know. I'm glad he didn't ask us what we were talking," Olive answered.

  "Yeah, we were kind of lucky. I guess he would do something for us if we behave like this next time," Kaylee agreed.

  "So, what kind of things you guys were talking exactly? I wanna know," said Laura, trying to figure out.

  "We'll tell it later, don't worry. It's not bad thing, got it?" Kaylee said, looking at Olive.

  "Yeah, maybe after school. With Daniel and Lucas, they also know it. Ask them if you want, they'll tell you maybe," Olive said.

  "No, I'll just wait after school. Though I'm curious," Laura smiled.

  "Good, then let's meet at the front gate after school at maybe 4 p.m? Since I need to go to basketball club," Kaylee said.

  "Fine, we'll be there by then with Laura!" Olive said.

  After school, at 4 o'clock, Laura and Olive waited in the front gate of their school waiting for Kaylee.

  "Hey, guys!" Kaylee shouted as she ran for them.

  "Hi, you don't need to run though," Laura said.

  "It's okay. I was just eager to tell you!" said Kaylee.

  "So .. tell me what is it. I will be glad to know it," Laura said, looking at Olive and Kaylee.

  "We were talking about the mystery of our stairs!" Olive said, pretending to be scary.

  "What stairs? We have lots of stairs at our school," asked Laura.

  "My brother told me that someone lives under the stairs! He graduated from this school, and there were lots of stories about it!" Kaylee added.

  "It's really scary. When we were just about to talk about who lives under there ..!" Olive said, "Professor Steven stopped us!"

  "Ahh .. He's timing is too bad! What if ghost lives there!" Kaylee said, almost screaming.

  "It'll be the best!" Olive laughed, and Kaylee laughed, too.

  Laura just looked at them, confused by what they were saying. 'Ghost, stairs ..? What are they talking about?' She thought.
