Diamonds

The word Diamond is from 'Adamas', which means 'can't conquest'. It can't be broken by anything. So people used Diamonds as wedding rings, to mean forever love. Diamond is the hardest Gems on Earth. It is also the expesivest jewel, and the clear color is very beautiful.

Rubies

Ruby is from the word Ruber, who means Red in Latin. If the Ruby is not red, and is another color, it is one of the sapphires. Red gems are precious, so rubies' prices are very higher than Sapphires. Ruby is a color of blood, so it meant power and authority, so for a long time, rubies were the jewels that only kings, queens, nobles, and clerics could have.

Sapphires

There are many sapphires in different colors like blue, pink, green, purple, and black. The most precious sapphires are blue-colored blue sapphires. The name 'sapphire' is actually from Sapphirus, which means blue in Latin. Sapphires are also called 'the king's stone', so it was also used by making crowns.

Emerald

Emerald is from the word smaracarta, which means green in Sanskrit. It changed into many kinds of names, like Esmerald in French, but now it is called Emerald. It is called 'the spring's gem'. the ancient people buried emeralds with mummies, because they thought it will protect the spirit.

Pearl

There are white, black, and pink pearls; it is different in each shell, but it is usually white. The roundest pearl is the most expensive one. The pearl is not a gem, but it is one of the jewels. Also pumpkins and corals are called jewels too.

Many kinds of diamonds

Cullinan Diamond

Cullinan diamonds were found on 1905 and it is the biggest gem in the world on the ones that were not processed. These days the Cullinan diamond is the most expensive jewels that has named price. It is 4 hundred million dollars. 

Koh-i-noor diamond

Ko i noor means the mountain of lights in Persian. It was found on India on 14th century. and it came to England on 1849 and decorated queen Elizabeth's crown.  Now it is at England London tower's Jewel house, and many people are coming to see the Ko i noor diamond.

Hope diamond

The Hope diamond is known as what happened to the people who owned it more than it's beauty. For example, the French queen Marie Antoinette owned it, but was killed during the French Revolution. And after that, many owners of Hope diamond died of accidents or killed by other people. The last owner was a famous jewel owner named Harry Winsten, and he donated the diamond to a meuseum, and didn't have any accidents or got killed.

Musgraitive

This is the second expensive jewel in the world. It was found in the Musgraitive mountain on Austrailia. So that is where it got it's name. It is a very precious gem, and there was only 8 Musgraitives left at 2005th.

Puetto's pearl

A fisherman in Philipen found this pearl in a big shell. It is a very big and heavy, more heavier than my younger brother(ten years old)! It looks like a cream, so it is a very unique pearl.

The ring that has the manyest diamonds in the world

A ring that was shaped like a marigold is the ring that used the maniest diamonds in the world. The people who made this ring said it is worth very much, and used 12638 diamonds! It was made by a India's jewel disigner.
