Chapter eight

Everyone in the crowd gasped, and turned to one direction. It was Asteria.

“Asteria, it is not our fault that you are not the successor!” Naurlda snapped.

“But I was supposed to be the successor!” She wined.

“There is no supposed to be successor for anyone! You can go to our ancestor’s grave and ask them!” Naurlda scolded.

“But...... This has never happened before, and I think my ancestors made a mistake..” Asteria mumbled.

“Humph! So it has happended now. Our ancestors didn’t make a mistake, even thought the results are strange.” Naurlda snorted.

“You are at Ramadeus’s side because he is your cousin’s grandson, right?” Asteria snapped.

“What? I did not. I am surprised at the results as you are, but I must stay calm. Now get rid of your ambitions. Successors, come to the tower to receive your things to be a successor. Others, the meeting is a end. Get back to your works.“ Garvan said.

Asteria wept, and Danial comforted her. Flothitina, Ramadeus, Esteria, and Gomaz followed Naurlda and Garvan to the tower.

“You will have to accept the changes that you will have.“ Garvan said. She recited a spell. Flothitina ,Gomaz, and Esteria‘s long hair got tied into a tidy bun, and Ramadeus‘s hair stayed normal. The successor‘s eyes suddenly turned gold and green. Their shirts turned violet, and their fins turned into human legs.

“Aach!” Esteria flinched as her fins turned into human legs.

“You’ll have to live like this if you are going to get used to spying on land.

”Okay...” Ramadeus said, and though,

‘This is going to take a really long time ’till I learn all these things..“
