If I were Aung San Suu Kyi, and I were a fighter for freedom and democracy in Myanmar, I would have stayed under house arrest. Here are 3 reasons why.
First, although I would miss my family very, very much, it just wouldn't even be comparing between the people who are experiencing staying in prison and is very painful, and me, who has at least a little percent that I'd be able to meet my family again.
Second, as Aung San Suu Kyi had said, 'freedom and democracy are goals which you never give up'. I think that if I stayed under house arrest, millions of people of Myanmar would be released and would be happy, and I would really want to see that and would appreciate it.
Lastly, I would be delighted to be a hero for lots of people. Like I've already mentioned, I would be able to make people glad, and I would be so as well. I also think that as much as I miss my family, they would long for freedom. That's why I don't want to make them feel disappointed.
These are the reasons why I would have stayed under house arrest instead of returning to my families. But I think that if I really were put under house arrest, I would have missed my family and would have called them with today's technology. That way, I think that I would be able to achive two goals at the same time: fighting for freedom, and seeing my familiy's faces, although they would be like, a million miles away.
