Under The Stairs#11

Underground

  Laura took a deep breath. The others had just started to take a slow step down the stairs, having Daniel and Olive in the front while Laura and Kaylee stood behind, watching quietly. Although they had flashlights, it was still dark and chilly on the building, only the sound of steps as Daniel, Olive went down.

  "I am not going under the stairs. You know it, right?" Laura said, sternly and quietly to the others.

  Daniel, and Lucas looked at her in surprised faces, while Olive and Kaylee nodded silently. "What is she saying? Why aren't you going down there with us? You mean that you are really just .. going to stay there? With none of us with you?" Daniel asked, sounding surprised and worried.

  "Hush, Daniel!" Olive interrupted him and put her finger on his mouth. "I'm sorry that I forgot to say to you guys that actually, Larua isn't going down there. She will just be standing over there and will just watch if any people come."

  "Uh, what about the supplies she had prepared, and why? I really want to know about the reasons." Lucas asked, glancing at Laura, who was standing behind, holding her bag.

  Olive shrugged and answered, "We can have the bag and I guess it's because since she is scared, and also she always keep the school rules like we all know. She doesn't like adventures and it is kind of dangerous. I cannot force her to go down since that's what I promised to her. Or else, she will not be here with us, and she will be on her house instead." 

  "Leaving her alone on the ground without anyone to see her is more dangerous than going down there together." Lucas pointed out, looking worried. "I'll just stay with her, and I guess it will be safer."

  Daniel shook his head. "No, boy. You cannot, since you are strong, and we need you to make us safer. Although Olive and Kaylee are also strong, but it's just .. too much for me to take care of those girls alone! I need someone to help me get through it." Daniel said, quietly but in also sounding upset.

  Kaylee and Olive turned around at him, in scary faces. "Daniel, what are you talking about? We can help you; we are together! Don't be silly. Anyway, I agree that you should come with us since you know .. it is safer with you. You are strong and you can keep us safe, with Daniel. I'll stay with her." Kaylee added.

  Lucas sighed and looked at Laura. "Are you sure that you and Kaylee will be safe until we come back, Laura? I'm just worried to leave two girls in this spooky building. We don't know what will happen to them!"

  "We, also don't know what will happen to us! You don't need to worry about them; they will be safe! Plus, we can hear the sounds of them under there. They can shout to us if they need some help. Just get those bags, Lucas. We need to hurry and do it quickly!" Daniel said, as Lucas handed him two bags.

  Olive put some of the blankets, flashlights and foods to them as they stood in front of the stairs. "We're going! Really! Call us if you guys need any help! And oh, we'll show you what happened down there since I will be recording some videos and all the things down there!"

  "Bye, and please come back safely! We'll stay here together and don't worry about us!" Laura and Kaylee said, waving.

  Laura and Kaylee silently watched Daniel, Lucas, and Olive stepping down on the stairs and soon disappearing with their bags, camera, and lights. Laura took a sigh of worries and also relief.

  "It's just lucky that we came here without no one noticing us. I wish them good luck as well .. Please!" Laura whispered to her, and she made a wish.

  "Yeah, I'm kind of worried and scared .. I hope so!" Kaylee agreed, smiling.

   Olive and the two boys were just stepping down the stairs silently, with Olive recording videos.

  "Hey, look! There's KitKat .. No, it's just empty trash. I guess some students threw it underground." Daniel said, as he threw the KitKat trash on the ground.

  "Wow, the stair is really clean and also dirty. I guess nearly anyone came in here at least for five years. It's really old and dark. I can feel our voices are ringing." Olive said, as she looked around.

  "There's just nothing here except for us and those .. uh KitKat trash. I guess it's just rumor that there's someone here.." Lucas started to say, but was just interrupted by the sound of Olive shouting.

  "AHHHH!"…
