The Truth I

  Laura hurried to her home, which was almost 4 o'clock in the morning. Miss Hannah Steven ordered us to go to home and she will tell all the thing tomorrow. So, everyone had left, and Laura was also heading home with cold breeze. It was still dark, so Laura ran to her home as fast as she could. Her parents might see her when she gets to home late. As she opened the door quietly, she could see that her dad was still asleep in his room, while her mom was missing. Laura wondered where she had gone and looked around the room. As she passed the kitchen, she could hear some crunching sound. She looked around and something touched her.

  Laura screamed, "Ahhh !" "Ahhhh !" Something moved and the figure of Laura's mom appeared.

  "Hey, Laura! What are you doing here? Did you go out on this night? Are you crazy?" Her mom asked, hiding what she was doing.

  "Um, just a little walk. Never mind about that, and what's that hiding behind you? .. Isn't it KitKat ?" Laura laughed awkwardly as she quickly changed the subject.

  "Just to give someone some KitKats. You don't need to know about this." Her mom shrugged and quickly added. "Oh, it's getting late! I must .. Um, go somewhere to buy some food for your breakfast! I'll come back in 30 minutes, and just go to bed, Laura!" She quickly went outside.

  Laura was confused. "Huh .. ? Why is she going to buy some food in this early day and also with KitKats .. ? Suspicious .. " She thought and looked outside. Her mom had left already, she could nearly see nothing since it was still dark. She looked at the clock and realized that the sun will come out soon.

  "I must follow her and figure out what is she hiding before it gets bright!" Laura quickly went outside her room, with leaving some note on her dad, 'Me and Mom are going to buy some food for breakfast. Just have some free time until we come back, and don't worry 'bout us !'

   She looked around to see some silhouette of her mom, and she was soon able to find her mom, hurrying toward somewhere. Laura followed her, and she was able to follow her until she realized where her mom was heading. It was her school _

  Miss Hannah Steven yawned as she cleaned her room. She went upstairs and left the iron bar opened for someone to come. Then, she went to her room again and lie on her sleeping bag. She was so tired dealing with the students who suddenly burst into her room, and some troubles they caused calling her dad and securities. She shook her head, "Those kids are just too curious and eager to figure out some mysteries which they don't need to_"

  Laura watched her mom as she headed toward the school building where Miss Hannah was staying. Her mom opened the door so smoothly and went underground with iron bars unlocked. Laura thought she would be caught if she follows her downstairs right now, so she just stayed at the first floor and looked at her. When she finally disappeared underground, Laura slowly went downstairs, almost making any sound at all.

  "Hannah ~ It's me !" Her mom said gently, as she waited for Miss Hannah to open the door for her. After few seconds, Miss Hannah appeared smiling.

  "Hi, I've waited for you! I was just too tired from the trouble I had before. I'll tell you about it, and come in ~ " she said, and Laura could see Miss Hannah trying to close the door.

  Laura ran toward the door and caught the door just before it closed. She peered inside and could see her mom and Miss Hannah talking while her mom was giving her some food, water, and things she needed. There was also KitKats .. !

Laura gasped and opened the door wide. "MOM! What are you doing here !" She shouted. Instantly, Miss Hannah and her mom stopped talking and looked at Laura, who was breathing so hard and looking angry. Her mom's jaw dropped open, and Miss Hannah almost seem to be frozen since she was too shocked.

  "L..Laura ..? How..did you get here? And why did you come... Wait, did you follow me in here ?!" She shouted and stood up.

  "Mom, what are you doing here and why are you giving those things to Miss Hannah? You told me that you are going to the supermarket!" Laura shouted.

  "Laura, why did you.." Her mom began to say, but Laura interrupted her.

  "MOM! Tell me the truth! What is the truth between you and Miss Hanna! And why are you hiding it ?" Laura shouted desperately, as her mom looked down.
