 He was panicking. 

 Blurry silhouettes whirled around him, came in and out of focus. He thought he could hear voices, choruses of muffled yells. Everything took on a form of uncertainty, but one thing was sure; he was panicking.

 And, quite suddenly, all of it cleared. He felt the panic inside him lessen, replaced with warm relief trickling down his spine, as a soft voice spoke to him. The voice-there was something familiar about it, something he missed-something he craved-

 Then the voice was gone. He felt himself being lowered, but he didn't hit the floor. Terror, frustration, panic-like a dam bursting open, they surged back into him the moment the protection of the voice left him. Soaked in utmost despair, he sank into the darkness-down, down, down....

 Ian gasped. Veins were thrumming against his tight-squeezed eyelids, and his chest heaved in and out with deep, shuddering breaths. 

 So it had been a dream. Just a dream.

 Slowly and carefully, as though he was afraid of some dreadful consequences, Ian relaxed his furrowed brow and finally let his eyelids open. His eyes stared into a room that he knew so well, bathed in shade of hueless gray in the darkness-the Instructors hadn't turned on the lights yet. Beds like the one he was lying in were lined up along the both sides of the room, facing each other. No sound could be heard but for the occasional snores one of his roommates uttered.

 Ian turned to his left, to take a look of his best friend. Benjamin was asleep, as sound as one could be, his chest softly rising and falling as he breathed. 

 There was nothing wrong. Everything remained as they should be. After all, he told himself, as he closed his eyes again in satisfaction, it had just been a dream.

 It didn't take long for him to fall asleep, and forget it all.

* Hi, guys. O.Light here. Remember what I said, in my most recent writing, that I had no ideas for my novels? Well, I guess I do have one now. It first came to me yesterday, and I managed to map out the general directions of the story before the day was up. So I was able to write the first chapter of it today.

Well, what I mean to say is, I think I won't be able to come here for long, since my expiration date is due. Today's my last day I could write here. I will  return, but in the meantime I'll finish the details of this novel, so that I'll be able to provide a satisfactory story once I'm back.
