SECRET ATTIC
CHRISTMAS SPECIAL#7
Readers, I remind you, that sometimes great and powerful spells don’t work out as we expect it. So, that’s what happened.
‘Bam!’
A very loud noise rang out.
They all fell backward.
‘BANG! CRASH! BOOM! CLANG!’
“Aaah!” They screamed.
“Yikes!”
“Oh my gosh!”
“Oh, boy!”
They was very worried.
Because the ceiling had crashed and got torn off!
“Some say that with powerful magic, we might lose something if you get something from it.” Elizabeth said to herself.
“Gladly the big pieces didn’t get in.” Dan said.
“Why did the big pieces didn’t get inside?” Luna asked.
“Because the attack came from inside so the big pieces will bounce outside.” Dan expained.
“It’s complicated then that, but that’s the easiest way I can speak.”
“Oh........ How awful.” Amber said.
“Why? No one got hurt.” Ria asked.
“The starscraper.” Amber said.
“Pardon?” Ria asked.
“This starscraper is broken if the roof is broken, the starscraper is too.” Amber said again.
“Sorry?” Ria asked.
“This star...........” Amber said and sank down.
“What’s wrong?” Emma asked.
“T-h-e s-t-a-r-s-c-r-a-p-e-r iz-a-p-l-a-c-e-t-h-a-t-nothing can ever... You know.” Olivia explained instead of Amber.
“So what? Elizabeth can build it again.” Ria said.
“How can you say such a thing!” Amber said.
“This isn’t a place that Elizabeth had ever had a touch. Ria. This isn’t a place like that.” Emma said.
“Then, how the starscraper can be broken? It’s under us.” Ria asked.
“The starscraper is the roof.” Emma said.
“Sorry? What does that means? Starscraper is under us and the roof in on top of us.” Ria asked.
“Magic. Starscraper is magical.” Luna explained.
“It blocks all the magical things that comes from outside. So, we made it a roof by magic. And, how the starscraper can block all the magic is, there is a star in the starscraper. But it don’t block the magic from inside! So it just.... Yeah, broke. Then the star broke. What should we do now?” Emma groaned.
“Excuse me, how’s we? Does it means that you helped? What what what?” Ria asked.
“The students here made the starscraper. Elizabeth only made the ceiling. There was nothing in it. So it was just a ordinary room.” Olivia said.
“Then what happened?” Ria asked.
“I think I should explain it from a book so you can understand.” Olivia said and reached into her backpack.
She pulled out a book. It’s cover was all ragged.
She flipped to the 100th page. That chapter was titled ‘The history of the starscraper’.
“Read it.” Olivia said. She handed the book to Ria.
“Oh..” She began to read.
The history of the starscraper(Easy version for kids to understand)
The history of the starscraper is regulary this. The starscraper was made at 1777th century. The enchantress teacher Elizabeth, made a room. It was empty with blank walls and ceilings. She gave it to the students. She said, “Oh, my lovely students. This is a room just for you. One day, you will get a great lesson from it. Make it a educational place, my dear students.”Then she left the room. The students thought about it. One thought of the idea that is now the starscraper. About putting the enchanted star that protects the room. Then it becomes linked with the ceiling. It is same to each other. Very same. So they began a dangerous journey. 1000 students volunteered to join the journey. It was the journey to find the enchanted star. It was really hard. They met great dangers, and 100 students died. Because of scary animals and demons and monsters, or a poisonous plant. It was very hard. But they finally entered a world of fairies. They made the enchanted star to them. But warned them to travel safely. They did and they arrived at the academy. They used magic to put the star in. Then the room became brighter, but the walls became dark blue and purple. And they gave magic to the graduating students. But this ceremony ended at 1907th century. Some did bad things with the magic. So they was punished. Nowadays they give magic to kids to the true believer of magic. And the true believers of magic’s names was written on the wall, with a star. The End.
“This is such a great place! I am so sorry for talking about it so rudely. I am very sorry.” Ria said.
“That’s okay. You just didn’t know. I thought you knew. I am sorry too.” Amber said.
They hugged each other.
“Now, we should check the starscraper! Guys, come on! We have to check if it’s safe. We might have did a strange worry.” Olivia suggested.
They just nodded at her and ran down two stairs. Then, they reached the starscraper. Elizabeth’s face went pale.
“We lost the star.” Elizabeth said.
“What does that mean?” Rilla asked.
“The star is damaged and was broken into pieces. So it won’t be able to protect us. We have to take another journey if we are going to make another star. But we can’t. This is Christmas eve. We have to have a happy time.” Elizabeth said. She had tears in her eyes.
“What a terrible Christmas eve.” Yein said to herself.
“We will take the journey! Please give us the map!” Emma said.
“You can’t make it. And WE? We are not going to join,
Miss. Enchantress.” Evan said.
“We are going to make it. If you don’t want to join, just don’t join. We are very tired of you acting like that. We will go by ourselves, so you don’t have to go. What do you think by this, Mr. Weirdo?” Erica snapped at Evan.
“Fine, I will join.” Evan said.
“You mean we will join.” Dan, Brian, Tom said at once.
“You aren’t afraid, right?” Rilla asked.
“Of course. We have to protect little kids.” Dan said.
“As much as we say, but we are not little kids. Little kids are kindergarten because they both start with K.” Olivia said.
“Now a word fact, Miss Crazy?” Tom said.
“Yep.” Olivia didn’t seemed angry at all.
The girls all thought that she was truly believing that she is smarter then them.
They giggled.
“So, what will we need for the journey?” Rilla asked.
“What will we need for the journey? Haven’t you read any adventure books and watched adventure movies? Haven’t you heard of the book named ‘Journey to the west’? It’s amazingly fun!” Olivia said.
“I know ‘Journey to the west’ book. So what?” Rilla snapped.
“Haven’t you know what they carried?” Olivia said, stunned.
“Oh, you should have explained easier. So we need tools, weapons, foods, bag, book, horse, clothes, a map and,” Rilla was explaining.
“Excuse me? Why do we need a book and a horse?” Emma asked.
“To ride on and to get the knowledge and learn about the fairies and the journey to find the star.” Rilla explained.
“We are not going to ride on a horse.” Evan said.
“Why not? That will be amazingly exciting.” Rilla said.
“We aren’t going to have fun there.” Dan said.
“And the horse will be tired.” Evan added.
“Fine. No horse.” Rilla gave up.
“And I have a book to know about long journeys!” Ria said.
She opened the book and pointed to a page.
