Chapter 1

Flosskit opened her eyes, and blinked at Jaypaw. 

“She opened her eyes!” Jaypaw announced.

A few days as passed, and now Flosskit opened her eyes. Leafkit, Stonekit, and Dandelionkit rushed toward Flosskit. 

“Wow! Can we play with her now?” Stonekit mewed.

“No, you can’t play with her yet. She’s only a few days old! We have to wait a few more days if you want to play with her.” Violetheart mewed.

“We want to play with her now!” Dandelionkit protested.

“Yeah!” Leafkit chimed in. 

“No, not yet, kits, Flosskit isn’t as strong as you right now.” Violetheart mewed.

“Okay... We’ll wait longer..” Leafkit sighed. The kits waddled out of the nursery, to play outside. 

“Don‘t go to far from camp!“ Vineheart called after them.

“We won’t!” Stonekit mewed. And the kits went out of sight.

Jaypaw touched his nose to Flosskit, and walked out of the nursery. And then Tansyshine entered the nursery.

“Here’s borage to make more milk come out.” He mewed. As Violetheart began eating the borage, Tansyshine walked out of the nursery too.

A few days has passed again, Flosskit opened her eyes. She stared at a kit who had a light-brown fur and black paws. 

“Hello?” Flosskit mewed to the light-brown kit.

“Hello! I’m Stonekit!” The light brown kit mewed.

“I’m Flosskit! Can I play?” Flosskit mewed.

“Of course! Come on! This is Leafkit and Dandelionkit! Hey guys! Flosskit can play with us!” Stonekit mewed.

“Wow! It’s great!” Dandelionkit exclaimed.

“Did Violetheart say yes?” Leafkit asked.

“She said I can play when I wanna!” Flosskit mewed, jumping.

“Then let’s show her around the camp! She never got out of the nursery before!” Dandelionkit mewed.

“Yes! Let’s go!” Leafkit mewed.

The kits walked out of the nursery. Flosskit’s eyes when wide open in the sight of the camp. 

“Wow! It’s amazing!” Flosskit mewed.

“Of course it is! Our clan is the best of all clans!” Stonekit mewed. 

“We can explore the apprentices’ den first!” Leafkit mewed. The kits ran to the apprentices’ den. 

“Wow! One day, we are going to sleep in there!” Dandelionkit mewed. 

“Yeah, let’s make our beds next to each other!” Flosskit mewed.

“Great idea! We can all train together and be a warrior together!” Stonekit mewed.

“That will be great!” Leafkit exclaimed.

“That’s not possible, kits,” Lionpaw mewed, who just came into the apprentices’ den.

“You know, you’re age is slightly different, so you can’t train and be a warrior altogether. I know it will be great to train altogether but.. You know it’s not possible.” 

“No, it’s actually really possible!” Leafkit mewed.

“One of us can just train a bit longer! Then we can train and be warriors altogether!”

“No, no, no,” Jaypaw came into sight. 

“You’ll train with your mentors, not with each other. You know that all the apprentices can’t train altogether. It’s not possible, kits.”

“No, we can! Don’t act so hard!” Dandelionkit complained.

“Yeah!” Stonekit chimed in.

“Jaypaw, you don’t really have to be so realistic and letting the kits down. Go back to the medicine den, Tansyshine will be waiting for you.” Lionpaw mewed.

“Fine. But you know it’s just not possible..!” Jaypaw complained.

“It’s none of your business, you chirping bird!” Flosskit mewed. Jaypaw ignored her, and walked to the medicine den. 

“That annoying chirpy-bird! Let’s go to the warriors den next. By the way, thanks Lionpaw!” Leafkit mewed, and the kits hopped toward the warriors den.

“Hello, Cinderblaze!” Leafkit mewed as she reached the warriors den. 

“Hi, kits! Are you showing Flosskit around the camp?” Cinderblaze asked.

“Yes! It’s so fun going around the camp!” Flosskit mewed.

“Should we go to the medicine den?” Stonekit asked.

“I don’t want to see that annoying chirpy-bird!” Leafkit complained.

“Don’t worry! There’s Tansyshine anyway!” Dandelionkit mewed. 

“Okay, Let’s go!” Flosskit mewed. The kits now dashed to the medicine den.

“Hello, Tansyshine!” The kits mewed.

“Hi, kits! You can look around the medicine den, but don’t touch any herbs!” Tansyshine mewed.

“Okay, Tansyshine!” The kits mewed. 

“Doesn’t they bother you?” Jaypaw asked Tansyshine.

“No, it’s okay. I like having kits around.” Tansyshine replied.

“Oh, okay then!” Jaypaw mewed, and watched as the kits trotted around the medicine den, and then he worked on picking out the rotten herbs. Flosskit approached Tansyshine, watcing Tansyshine mixing herbs. 

“Oh!” Flosskit mewed.

“Is something wrong, Flosskit?” Tansyshine asked. And the other kits ran toward Flosskit.

“Did you find something?” Stonekit asked.

“Tansyshine’s work always looks fun, even though I never tried it before!” Leafkit mewed.

“Yes, I found something!” Flosskit mewed.

“What is it?” Dandelionkit asked. 

“A path I want to walk on!” Flosskit replied.

“What do you mean?” Stonekit asked.

“I want to become a medicine cat!” Flosskit exclaimed.
