If you were Aung San Suu Kyi, would you have stayed under house arrest or returned to your family in England? Why?
I believe that the decision to remain under house arrest or return to her family in the UK was a personal one for Aung San Suu Kyi and would have been based on her values, principles, and sense of mission. She chose to remain in Myanmar and dedicate herself to the fight for democracy, despite being separated from her family for an extended period of time. I don't know if I would have made the same decision if I were Aung San Suu Kyi, but one thing is for sure, her choice demonstrated a strong commitment to the cause and a belief in her country's quest for freedom and democracy. Now that I know Aung San Suu Kyi's story, maybe I, too, will choose to make a commitment to my country.
