  • Many
people watch a lot of movies of all kinds. It can be a fantasy, action, comedy,
romance, drama, thrill or horror movies. Everyone has different taste in
movies, and for me, I like fantasies animations like the chronicles of Narnia
and the movie Wallace & Gromit. I don't like movies with sad endings that
ends up with someone dying. I like movies with happy endings. Unlike other kids
I don't like Harry Potter either. I like light movies that younger kids watch.

    So
my all-time favorite movies is [Wonder]. You have probably seen it in a movie,
or read it in a book. This movie is about a 10-year-old boy named August
Pullman, who is called Auggie in the movie. Auggie ihas an illness called
Treacher Collins Syndrome, which makes one's face look like it's crumbled up.
Because of his illness, he had to do a lot of operation, which still made his
face look odd. Because of his looks, his parents made him homeschool. But one
day, they determine to send Auggie to school.

    Auggie
had some good friends like Summer and Jack, but many were mean to him. Thanks
to his parents, Auggie grew up to be a very clever boy. Auggie also helps his
friends with studying, improving their grades. But when the day of Halloween
came, he heard Jack gossiping about him with Julian. Auggie gets a big wound in
his heart, and begins to staying away from Jack. After Jack realizes that
Auggie knows the truth, he apologizes to Auggie and they become good friends
    again.

    Even
though there were many incidents in school, he becomes good friends with
friends who were bullies. On the day of the Graduation, Auggie gets a special
prize from the school. The memorable scene of this movie is the graduation
scene. The principal calls Auggie up to the stage and gives him a special
prize. He praises Auggie's patience and braveness and everyone gives Auggie a
    standing ovation.

    The
principal says, "The best measure of your growth isn't in inches or test
scores, but in how you have treated your friends, and those around you." I
really like this quote and really agree with this. Even though you have good
grades, nothing is as important as how you treat your friends.

    Through
this movie, we can learn that we should not judge people with their
appeareances, but with the inside of their hearts. Everyone has a right to be
respected, not by their appeareances. And we can also learn that we should
choose kindness always, like the teacher of Auggie said: "If you have to
choose between being right and being kind, choose kind."
