First, your nose gets stuffy.

I bet everyone knows that. My nose gets stuffy, and it’s hard to breathe through my nose!

When you can’t breathe through your nose, there’s only one way to breathe: through your mouth.

But if you breathe through your mouth...

Second, your throat gets sore.

When you breathe through your mouth, your throat becomes very sore.

Breathing through the nose warms the air, so your throat doesn’t hurt. However, the mouth doesn’t have that function, so cold air passes directly through it. That makes your throat sore! When your throat is sore, it’s hard even to swallow saliva. It feels like some awls are stinging your neck-which are very, very sharp!

If you want to make your throat better, there’s only one solution. It’s simple, but also hard.

But it’s hard to breathe through a stuffy nose. So the only way to survive is to breathe through your mouth. But breathing through your mouth makes your throat hurt even more!

This repeats over and over again-until the rhinitis ends! I’m so, so tired because of this-ugh!

Third, you can feel like you have a cold almost all year round.

Did you know rhinitis gets worse during seasonal changes, like from spring to summer or from autumn to winter? When rhinitis gets worse, it often turns into a cold.

So you can feel like having a cold almost all year round! Gross!

Lastly, it’s hard to concentrate.

When you have a runny nose and an itchy throat, and when you keep coughing and sneezing, it’s really hard to focus. You might bother others with this. But holding it in is hard too...

Sometimes I wish my nose were gone, because I can’t breathe properly, can't smell things or concentrate!

Living with rhinitis is really hard, and it bothers me a lot! I truly hope rhinitis disappears forever!
