Once there was a farmer. He was a very lazy man. He didn't mind working. Instead he took a rest almost all day. His wife wasn't lazy. She worked very hard. But she was always angry with the Farmer. "Get to work, husband!" she shouted. "You have to feed the chickens. You have to milk the cows. You have to check our corn!"

"No thanks. You can do that," was the lazy reply. His wife huffed and went to work.

One day, the Farmer was resting peacefully under a tree. Just then, a fairy appeared. The Farmer gasped. "W-who are you?"

"I'm a Free Fairy," the fairy said. "I make people free!" The Farmer was impressed. He clapped his hands. "Howdy!" he cried. "I just wished for that. My wife always nags to me."

"I can make her stop nagging," the Free Fairy said.

"Really?" the Farmer cried. The fairy nodded. "Where is your wife?" she asked. The Farmer pointed to the barn. The Free Fairy smiled and flew to the barn. The Farmer watched gleefully as the barn flashed with bright light. The fairy returned. "Now your wife will never nag you," she said.

"Hooray!" the Farmer cheered. "Thank you, fairy!"

A few days later, the Farmer went to the coop. But then, he gasped. The chickens were gone! The Farmer looked everywhere. But he didn't find them. "Oh boy! What happened?" his wife cried.

"Wife! What's wrong?" the Farmer asked, running to the barn.

"Our goats! They died!" the wife cried. The Farmer gasped. He turned around. Their corn was gone. Now he saw mud and only corn husks. He bit his lip. "What happened?" he asked. The wife frowned. "You didn't work at all!" she shouted. "I was about to do work when a fairy put a spell on me! So I didn't work!" The Farmer gasped. "I'm so sorry," he said. "This is all because of me."
