Roxy scratched her head. "Why is the Mighty Man actor causing trouble?"
"I think he's trying to fight crime," Mayor Bloom said. "But he made a mess at Metro Mart."
Roxy sighed. "I'm on my way."
Roxy flew fast. She checked her watch. "I hope this doesn't take long. Terrell is coming over at six."
Slime was everywhere inside Metro Mart. The Mighty Man actor held a teenager.
The teenager was trying to get away. "Let go of me!"
"Hi, Rocket Girl!" The actor grinned. "I'm a superhero now—just like you!"
The store's owner frowned. "My store is ruined!"
"Where did this slime come from?" Roxy asked.
Splat! Slime shot from the actor's hand. "Pretty cool, right? This kid was stealing soda. I stopped him."
The store owner groaned. "I told you—customers can fill their own cups for free on Fridays."
"Yeah!" the teenager said.
Roxy sighed. "Let him go."
"Fine." The actor released the teenager.
"Your show stinks, Mighty Man!" The teenager ran away.
"When did you get your slime power?" Roxy asked.
"Today," the actor said.
Just then Dr. Chen walked in with the general. She still had her device.
"Rocket Girl!" Dr. Chen said. "It's good to see you again."
"Hi, Dr. Chen," Roxy said.
The general raised an eyebrow. "You know each other?"
Roxy grinned. "We met on the space station."
"This is General Waltz," Dr. Chen said. "We're investigating a mysterious energy. We detected it at Old Misty."
"I was there today!" the actor said.
Dr. Chen's device beeped. "I'm detecting the energy in this slime. And in you, Mighty Man."
"Cool," the actor said.
The device beeped near Roxy too.
"That's odd," Roxy thought. Then she looked down. "Oh! I'm standing in slime. That's what made it beep," she said.
"Can you come with us, Mighty Man?" General Waltz asked. "We want to do some tests at the lab."
The actor puffed out his chest. "What an honor! I'm happy to go with you."
The actor and the general went outside.
Dr. Chen sighed. "This mysterious energy is all over Metro City, Rocket Girl. It might cause problems."
"It already did cause problems." Roxy gave the scientist her secret Rocket Girl number. "Call if you need help. That number goes right to my—" Roxy looked at her watch and gasped. "It's six o'clock! I'm late for dinner!"
