"We have to escape!" Terrell said. "Let's look for a way out."
Everyone looked around the room. Emily found a wire coat hanger.
Terrell untwisted the hanger. "I read about this in a spy book," he said.
He carefully pushed the wire into the lock. Click!
Buster yelled from downstairs. "Don't try to escape!"
"Um, we won't!" Finn said.
Terrell quietly opened the door. The kids tiptoed downstairs. Buster and Carl were in the front room.
Ling bit her lip. "How will we get past them?"
Terrell had a plan. He whispered it. Everyone smiled.
Terrell and Finn hid. Emily and Ling tiptoed down the hallway. Then they started doing the Rocket Girl Dance Challenge—loudly.
Buster and Carl ran into the hallway. Finn tackled them from behind.
"Oof!" Buster said.
Terrell ran to the front door. "Oh no! It's locked!"
"Help!" Finn shouted.
Terrell spun around. The villains were tying up the other kids.
Carl pointed at Terrell. "Get him!"
Buster ran toward Terrell. Terrell ran and slid. Buster tripped over him. Terrell ran into the front room and locked the door.
"Yes!" Terrell thought, spotting his phone on the table.
He called Roxy.
"Terrell!" Roxy said. "I thought you were mad at me."
"Of course not," Terrell whispered. "But I'm in trouble. Bad guys tricked me and some other kids."
Roxy gasped. "Where are you?"
Buster pounded on the door.
"We're at 73 Aspen Street!" Terrell said.
Terrell hung up and opened the door. He sighed. "I'll tell you who Rocket Girl is."
"Who is she?" Carl asked.
"She's a superhero," Terrell said.
Buster groaned. "We know that!"
"She's brave," Terrell said. "She has a good sense of humor. And she's going to be here . . . right . . ." He looked out the window and smiled. "Now!"
Crash! Roxy burst into the house.
Finn, Ling, and Emily cheered. "Woo-hoo! Rocket Girl!"
Buster and Carl held up their hands.
"We give up!" they said.
"Good!" Roxy said. "You're both going to jail!"
Police officers took Buster and Carl away. Roxy untied everyone.
"I'm so excited to meet you!" Emily said.
"You're the best!" Finn said.
"Will you do the Rocket Girl Dance Challenge with us?" Ling asked.
Terrell shook his head. "Rocket Girl has more important things to—"
Roxy laughed. "Sure!"
Jack's phone beeped. "Terrell sent me a video."
He and Mara watched.
"Cool!" Mara said. "He's dancing with other kids from school!"
Jack smiled. "And Rocket Girl!"
