Kip was asleep in his hole one night.
Crack!
Thunder boomed and rain fell.
어느 날 밤 키프는 구멍 속에서 잠들어 있었어요.

천둥이 치고 비가 왔어요.
Branches snapped.
The whole tree shook.
"Ahh!" Kip cried.
나뭇가지들이 부러졌어요.

"악!" 키프가 소리쳤어요.
The next morning the storm was over.
Kip woke up in his kitchen.
His bed was floating in water.
Acorns bobbed nearby.
다음 날 아침에는 폭풍우가 끝나 있었어요.
키프는 부엌에서 잠이 깼어요.
침대는 물 속에서 떠다니고 있었어요.
곁에서는 도토리들이 까딱거리고 있었어요.
"Oh no!" cried Kip.
"My hole is flooded!"
Just then Kip heard Bird.
"My nest is ruined!" she cried.
"어, 안 돼!" 키프가 소리쳤어요.
"내 구멍에 홍수가 났어!"
바로 그때 키프는 버드의 목소리를 들었어요.
"내 둥지가 망가졌어!" 버드가 소리쳤어요.
Kip went outside and looked down.
Leaves and sticks were everywhere.
Bird was on her branch.
Her nest was a mess.
키프는 밖으로 나가 내려다봤어요.
나뭇잎들과 나뭇가지들이 사방에 흩어져 있었어요.
버드는 자기 가지에 있었어요.
버드의 둥지는 엉망이었어요.
"This is terrible, Bird," said Kip.
"Our homes are ruined."
"We can fix them," said Bird.
"이건 끔찍해, 버드." 키프가 말했어요.
"우리 집들이 망가졌어."
"우린 고칠 수 있어." 버드가 말했어요.
"That's too much work," said Kip.
"I have a better idea."
"그건 일이 너무 많아." 키프가 말했어요.
"내게 더 좋은 생각이 있어."
"What's your idea?" asked Bird.
"Let's move," said Kip.
"Let's find a new tree!"
"네 생각이 뭐니?" 버드가 물었어요.
"우리 이사가자." 키프가 말했어요.
"우리 새로운 나무를 찾자!"
