"Wow! Your birthday cake is beautiful," said Bob.
"It has so many layers! Who made it?"
"와! 너의 케이크 예쁘다." 밥이 말했습니다.
"층이 많네! 누가 너의 케이크를 만들었니?"
"Well," I said. "A farmer grew the wheat.
A miller changed the wheat into flour.
"음," 나는 말했어요. "농부가 밀을 키웠어.

"A chicken laid the eggs.
And a cow gave the milk.
So they helped make my cake.
"닭이 달걀을 낳았어.

"A truck driver delivered the flour, eggs, and milk.
A clerk sold them to my mother.
My mother brought them home.
So they helped too.

엄마가 그것들을 집으로 가져왔지.

"My grandmother put everything into a bowl.

Then she poured it into a baking pan.

그리고 그녀는 베이킹 팬에 재료를 부었어.
"My sister put the pan into the oven.
After thirty minutes she took it out.
So they also helped.

30분이 지나고 그녀가 팬을 꺼냈지.
그래서 그들도 역시 케이크 만드는 것을 도왔어.
"Then I put the icing on the cake.
So I helped too.
We all helped make it."
"그리고 나는 케이크 위에 아이싱을 발랐어.
그래서 나도 케이크 만드는 것을 도운거야.
우리 모두 케이크 만드는 것을 도왔지."
"Wow!" said Bob!
"Many people helped make your cake.
But it's not finished yet!"
"와!" 밥이 말했어요.
"많은 사람들이 네 케이크 만드는 것을 도왔구나!
하지만 아직 완성되지 않았어!"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It looks finished to me."
"무슨 뜻이야?" 내가 물었습니다.
"나한테는 완성된 것처럼 보여."
"It doesn't have candles!" said Bob.
"I'll put some on.
I helped too!
Happy Birthday!"
"초가 없잖아!" 밥이 말했습니다.
"내가 초를 꽂을게.
나도 도운거야!
생일 축하해!"
