Cuckoo birds are type of birds that does sexual reproduction. It means, they find their mate to have children. When it's Winter, cuckoo birds spend their life in Africa, but when it's Spring, they return to breed in Europe. When felmale cuckoo birds return to the breeding area, the male cuckoo birds starts to call them. But do you know how does male cuckoo birds call the female cuckoo birds?
The male cuckoo birds will first bob their head and will bow the body. The wings will open and drop. The tail will be raised. Then, the male cuckoo birds will start to rotate its body and will move from side to side.

Female cuckoo birds are brood parasite. It means femal cuckoo birds lay their eggs in other host's (bird's) nest. The kinds of birds' nest female cuckoo birds lays her own eggs are songbirds' kinds such as flycatcher, warblers, etc. But why does cuckoo birds do that? Because, cuckoo adults feed on poisonos insects. But chicks and young birds cannot adopt it very well. So, cuckoo adults lay their eggs in other hosts' nest to provide good food for their young.

Cuckoo birds also have life cycle. First, when female cuckoo birds lays her own eggs in other hosts' (birds') nest, host incubate the eggs. After 12-13 days, the young cuckoo birds hatches. As it rceives food, it grows fast, becoming larger than its fals parents. After hatching, cuckoo birds leave the nest about 2-3 weeks to migrate southwards. Cuckoo birds' life span is 12.9 years

There are also interesting facts about cuckoo birds. First interesting fact Cuckoo has long and pointed wings and long and thin beak. While flying, the beak looks similar to hawk. Second one is unlike the other birds, female cuckoos lay their eggs in the afternoon but not in the morning. Lastly, more than 120 kinds of birds can be tricked to raise young cuckoos as their own chicks.
