After Reading Warriors
A Starless Clan: River
This series is set after The Broken Code. A dark age has given way to an era of peace in the Clans, and with it, a promise of hope comes. As their leaders are deliberate on unprecedent changes to the warrior code, three warriors sets their paws on the paths that will decide their futures.
In ThunderClan, a warrior apprentice Flamepaw, a descendant of the great leader Firestar, struggles under the weight of his famous kin's legeacy. While his littermates all passed their assignments, but he couldn't. And he is quite uncomfortable with his mother. After failing in his assignment, in Gaterings, other apprentices smerks at him, and his clanmates makes him annoyed. He tries hard to prove that he can be a great warrior, but it doesn't go the way that he wants. But at last, after two~three assignments failing, he finally succeeds and becomes a warrior. But Bramblestar announces that his warrior name will be Nightheart.
I feel so sorry for Flamepaw, because he tried so hard, but couldn't be a warrior. He must have felt miserable because his clanmates seems to be disappointed in him. And his mother, Sparkpelt isn't very close to him, he must have felt very uncomfortable with his mother because they had been separated because Sparkpelt had to atone at The Broken Code. Even though he finally becomes a warrior, his warrior name becomes Nightheart. So he must have been upset, because Nightheart is such a dark name. Poor Flamepaw. I wish everyone thinks him as a fine warrior soon.
And in ShadowClan, a young warrior Sunbeam has doubts of her own. She couldn't protect her clan when her own clanmates can't agree on the right path. And she had a cat that she loved, Blazefire. But Blazefire tells Sunbeam that they can't be mates, and he seems close with Lightleap, Sunbeam's best friend. Lightleap is keep trying to take risks, and she gets hurt a lot. But soon, it turns out that Blazefire has no feelings for Lightleap, and Sunbeam and Blazefire becomes friends again. Just good friends.
Sunbeam must have felt really terrible when Blazefire told her that they can't be mates. She have felt so betrayed. I think I know how she feels. But it's nice that Blazefire and Sunbeam becomes friends again, even though they can't be mates. I wish she will find a great tom soon. Cheer up, Sunbeam!
But in RiverClan, mediciene cat apprentice Frostpaw looks eagerly toward the horison, awating the day that she will be called apon to help her Clan. And it comes sooner than she ever dreamed. When Mistystar looses her ninth life from StarClan, the deputy, Reedwhisker has to take her place. But Reedwhisker sudeenly disappears, and Frostpaw gets a sign from StarClan many days later, so when they finally found Reedwhisker, it was too late. They decides to keep it a secret about Mistystar loosing her ninth life and there is no one to take her place from the other Clans. Frostpaw travels to the Moonpool, and finds a curled feather there, which represents Curlfeather. But Mothwing doubted her, because years ago, Hawkfrost has put a moth's wing outside the medicine den to make Mothwing a medicine cat, which was a fake sign. But Frostpaw now has a dream with many curly feathers around the moonpool. So Mothwing decides that Curlfeather should get nine lives from StarClan, and Frostpaw takes her to the moonpool. But while going there, Curlfeather dies, saving Frostpaw's life from the dogs. So now they has no one to take Mistystar's place, so they decides to tell the other clans and ask for help.
Frostpaw had so many responsiblities at a young age. It must have been quite scary, because some cats might not trust her because she is still a young apprentice. I think I began to like Frostpaw a lot. I think she'll make a great medicine cat. GO, Frostpaw!!
And I was really surprised at the change of the code. The cats were allowed to switch clans to be with their mates! Why couldn't have they done it sooner? Then cats wouldn't have to suffer so much because of romances from other clans. They still might suffer, but still. And the three cats are extreamly great warriors! I think all of those three will be great heros soon!
